We'll be driving to WDW and plan to use our own car to go to all the parks except MK. I've read about the AAA parking tag that gives you special parking spots at some of the parks - has anyone used this perk? I'm curious as to whether it would be worth switching my booking to AAA to receive the parking tag. With two young kids, reducing the amount of parking lot walking would be a HUGE benefit. They can walk and walk while they're being amused and entertained, but as soon as they're in a parking lot, the whining begins!!!

I think the parking spots are a little closer, but I haven't used the pass myself as we always fly.

It's definitely worth the savings to book a MYW package (room, tickets & dining) thru AAA.

I'll call tomorrow. I don't think I'll save any money, as I have the park hopper upgrade promotion through Disney, and it seems that you can only get one discount per booking - so it's the free upgrade OR the AAA room discount. I may be wrong, but that's what appears to be the case from reading the board.

You're probably right. We had the AAA discount first, then switched to the Jan/Feb upgraded tickets packages. We would have saved something like $20 more to stay with our original AAA package w/dining & hoppers, but this way we can go to DisneyQuest with the upgraded tickets.

Have a great trip!

We always book through AAA and get the AAA diamond parking passes. Basically this allows you to park in a special AAA area, which is right by the handicap parking. They are good spots and very close to all entrances. I love this perk!!

You must tell the attendants though that you're looking for the diamond parking. Most attendants just wave you into the spots for regular guests. You often have to roll your window down and tell them "diamond parking" or show them your pass through your window and they will redirect you. Basically you follow the red line (near the blue lines for handicap parking) on the ground. We found it slightly confusing the first time we did it, but then it became obvious.

I think it depends upon the AAA.

the one hears gives the parking pass if you just buy tickets.:goodvibes

I got spoiled by these things - last time I parked in the regular parking and forgot where I parked the car.....

oh you can generally get someone on the transportation forum to send you one.

You will get the AAA pArking voucher if you book a package trip through AAA. Someone told me that if you buy some park tickets, you can ask for a parking pass, and AAA MIGHT give you a pass. Also, if you really want a parking pass, they are for sale on ebay -- be warned that they are selling for $85 to $125 per pass. You can resell it, if you are an ebay seller, so it could pay for itself. You will have a few kids and need a stroller, it is VERY mcuh worth the price -- in my opinion -- for the convenience.
