AAA and Dining

Has anyone booked using the AAA rate and added the Disney Dining? I can use the Florida resident rate, but cannot add the dining to that rate.

Yes, we did. But you have to book directly through a AAA travel agency to get both the room discount and the dining add-on.

So, the rate is whatever the AAA discount rate is, plus $35 for adults and $10 for children, and the cost of at least a 1-day ticket?

Discount is 10-20% off room rate (subject to availability) depending on season and resort type, per night. So if you book a water-view room at POR during value season, you get a 20% discount off the room ($149 - 20%) if it's available; a standard room at AKL would be ($199 - 15%); of course, then add on the taxes.

You have to buy at least a 1-day MYW base ticket per person, and then $35 per adult/per night and $10 per child (3-10)/per night. The number of meals is based on the number of room nights (so 7 nights for 2 adults would result in 14 table service, 14 counter service, and 14 snacks).

I think the cancellation policies are the same (some correct me if I'm wrong...). Here are the ones I found. At least they look pretty similar to me.

AAA:
CANCELLATION AND CHANGE FEES
For a cancellation made 44 to 6 days prior to arrival, there is a cancellation fee of $100 per package plus any cancellation fees assessed by hotels or other suppliers.
For a cancellation made 5 days or less prior to arrival, there is a cancellation fee of $200 per package plus any cancellation fees assessed by hotels or other suppliers. No refunds will be given to no-shows.
For a change made 44 days or less prior to arrival or that results in a rate change, there is a change fee of $50 per package plus any change fees assessed by hotels or other suppliers.
For changes, the change fees must be paid in addition to any increase in rate resulting from the change.
In addition:
If your air travel has been ticketed, there will be an additional cancellation or change fee per ticket equal to the higher of (i) $125 and (ii) the cancellation or change fee assessed by the airline. Please note that (x) cancellation of a nonrefundable airfare results in a charge equal to the entire amount of the airfare and (y) cancellation of a refundable airfare must be made at least 1 business day prior to departure.
Travel insurance is nonrefundable once deposit has been received. Upon any cancellation, the charge for travel insurance will be added to the other applicable cancellation fees.
If you cancel, amounts paid, minus cancellation fees and other amounts owed, will be promptly refunded.
