AAA and AP - Room type specific?

Hi -

As far as AAA and AP discounts go ... if they happen to be offered, are there any types of rooms they won't work with? For instance, can I use AAA on a concierge room? Are they good for different view categories?

I know sometimes there aren't any available (either not offered or all taken), but I'd like to know if there are any rooms that are always excluded from the possibility of a discount.

Also, about how many months in advance can you apply a AAA discount?

I just booked an AAA rate for August. I beleive AAA rates are available for all of 2007. The AP rates come out a few months ahead. We have found it easier to get AAA rates than AP which seem to be very specific and often for more upgraded rooms. You can book an AAA rate and then switch to AP rate later if one becomes available and you can switch rooms and resorts if there is a better deal. Any kind of room can be offered. You just need to call and check when the codes come out. Good Luck!

We used AAA, booked room-only through CRO, last May Poly LVC - 10% dicount. More than paid for the AAA membership!

For the most part, you won't see the suites at the deluxe resorts on AP discount, until very close to check in date. I guess they want to see if they can book them at full price. For example, I had been pricing a weekend in late March, and all of a sudden, the Garden Suites at BW started appearing as available. They hadn't been appearing before, so I have to assume it's just been released to discount.

I guess it kind of goes both ways. The cheapest rooms get booked right away, and the most expensive rooms get booked last.
