Where can I find info on any AAA discounts, esp. for food at Uni? ALso, does Amex offer any sort of discounts parkwise? Thanks (not hotels)

If you go to the AAA website you can see the restaurant discounts. But I always just ask. I know we have used it at location at IOA. I am curious about the AMEX discount as well.

We used the AAA food discount at Mythos and Tchoup Chop. We would've been able to use it at Margaritaville as well but I left the card in the room :headache:. The little pamphlet/map of CityWalk had the AAA symbol by the restaurants that offered the discount - it seemed to be the lion's share of them IIRC.

The Amex discount was available at all the the in-park CS that we ate at. We did ask at Mythos and Margaritaville but both said they don't honor the Amex food discount.

There's also an Amex and AAA merchandise discount but you have to spend at least $50 in one purchase for it. Unfortunately we did a string of small purchases scattered throughout the park so we could never take advantage.

This page was helpful when we were planning: https://www.universalorlando.com/Theme-Park-Tickets/Special-Offers/American-Express.aspx

We used our CAA card and received a 10% discount of food and merchandise. Never had a issue, sorry didnt work for beer sales :)

the AAA discount is even available at the counter service places like Richters

Fast Food Blvd gave me a 10% discount with my AAA card. No AP discount though.

For the people who used Amex cards did they ever ask for id? I would love to be able to use my husband Amex card at quick serve restaurants. What are the odds I'll be able to do so if we seperate?

Thanks for the info - we will definitely remember to bring the CAA & our Amex. :thumbsup2

Help bring the CDN dollar to par with the USD .... if nothing else.

It's too bad about the beer.
