AAA agent worth their salt?????

Has anyone booked with a AAA agent that actually knows something about Disney. I am looking into a few options of either booking myself, with AAA, or another company (like Dreams Unlimited).

If I go with an agent, I want to know that they know what they are doing and that they have the absolute best deal for me, and keep up with the discounts etc. My AAA agent here in St. Catharines is useless!

Would love to know if anyone has someone they can trust, or did you book with someone else????

Hi Laura, We've got an absolutely wonderful agent here on our Board. Her name is Madonna31, she is very knowledgable about Disney.
She did a great job for us at the beginning of August!

Like any industry you will find some great ones...and not so great ones. It is perfectly acceptable to "interview" your TA prior to booking with her. Just a couple of general questions and you will get a feel for her disney knowledge and degree of "helpfulness".

I just posted my experience with AMA on another thread here it is

I am not going to go into detail...just got back from the dentist....however I asked for a quote from AMA and she copied and pasted everything off the web I have access to and that was my quote then said Air Canda does not fly to Orlando in the winter. I originally wanted Westjet but could not get the direct flight I needed. I went to the Air Canada website and got a quote for direct flights 1000 dollars cheaper than what AMA quoted me. I told my local AMA agent that and she said that was impossible and put me on hold and came back and defiantly told me I was correct. After a little chittychat I said what incentive is their for me to book through AMA and she said...well rember hurricane Katrina...when it hit all AMA members were evacuated while others were scrambling ...and I said well that's odd because the last time we booked a Disney vacation through AMA our agent abandoned us after completely messing up park tickets, vehicle rentals and flights. She replied she would get back to me today and she did with a quote that could not match with what I can get elsewhere. AMA is not willing to update the way they book travel and are not willing to be internet savy enough to provide good solid packages. Needless to say I swore I wasn't going to go into detail but the level of customer service at AMA is so arrogant I am simply taking my business elsewher and have contacted Dreams Unlimited. Sorry for venting but I thought you needed to know!..

That was my personal experience...useless is an understatement. Dreams Unlimted has provided outstanding customer service to us so far. I am not one to give barbs but when a business does such an incredibly poor job as AMA as I feel people should know.

I just booked thru Madonna31 for my trip in Jan 07. She is one of the most knowledgeable persons I have every met about WDW and assisted me with making the best for my Disney buck. It also helps that she is Canadian and can relate to issues from the Great White North

Gee hope she isn't a CAA agent . Sorry if you are. My comment was only directed at my experience with my AMA agent.
