AA fare question

I had our American airlines tickets on an extended hold

for a total of 2896 RT NS PP

today I checked for seats since Im still thinking of upgrading and the fare today was

for Chicago to BArcelona said 1413 for the same flight I have on hold--so I put in a fake ressie to see what comes up

but when I did the return flight it was 1448 RT NS PP

and that is the final cost then

but why did it say 1413 yet when you get all the way through then it was 1448

The difference could be the taxes or the fare increased before you got the final price.

How many people is this for? I just got free tickets with points on Southwest and still had to pay $5.30 or $5.60 per segment in TSA security fees. If you have three tickets, that would be just about the price difference you are seeing.

Sometimes if you haven't cleared your cache or your cookies on your computer from a previous search, the price can go up because they know at that point that you want that route.
