AA adjustments to ticket price ?

If a ticket on AA goes down and you booked online, can you get a voucher for the difference and if so, how do you go about it?

It is my understanding (after talking with AA) that they did do this in the past and they now longer do this now. If the price of your ticket goes down after you have purchased the ticket, the only way to receive the lower price ticket is to cancel your curent ticket and puchase the new ticket. **Remember you will be charged if you do not have a refundable ticket. If I remember...I think there is a $50.00-$100.00 charge per ticket for non-refundable tickets.

My December flight is a non-refundable ticket. I changed my flight because AA had switched schedules on me and had me getting in Orlando 4 hours later than my DD and GS, which they did at no charge, but the fare was $10.00 less than originally. Then I changed the schedule to stay a day later to match my DD's departure, and it wound up costing $90.00 total
(they had said it would be a $100.00 charge to make the change to stay a day later.

We booked our flights w/AA for about $210 pp round trip from Sacramento to MCO for the four of us (which I thought was a super good deal!!). Well, our friends waited for about three weeks after us and got their round trip tickets(same flight schedule) and they got their tickets for $115.00 pp. I couldn't believe it! I immediatley called AA and asked if I could get the same price. Well, they said there was no way to get it. I could cancel my current reservations for $100 pp and get new ressies, but that would have been pointless. Well, anyway we are very happy for our friends getting such a good deal and we told them (jokingly!!) that dinner would be on them one night. I just keep telling myself that we still got a super deal!

I got good advice on this board about 3 weeks ago regarding vouchers for air travel. I had booked Boston to Ft Lauderdale on American Airlines for $236. I called by phone when I noticed rates were lower online. They only dropped to $223. The American airlines agent mailed me vouchers for my two tickets. I got vouchers for $26 total. I was not charged anything but nothin on my itinerary changed - had same flights, destination and dates.
If they have changed and are not giving vouchers it has been a very recent change in policy. I'd call and check it out personaly.
