A Wish in the Making

Today Make A Wish gave us a small send off party. They brought pizza and Pepsi for everyone. They even brought chocolate chip cookies for desert.

They gave Lhea a special Make A Wish teddy bear.

Then they gave her a few other gifts including a princess tiara, stickers, a puzzle and a little coloring book.

They included all of Lhea’s brothers and sisters by giving them a teddy bear too!

They gave us a packet that included our expense check to cover gas for the rental car, luggage fees, a meal in the parks everyday and a souvenir for everyone. It had all of the details we would need for our trip including our flights and reservation at Give Kids The World.

Everyone is getting VERY Excited!

Super super excited. I can't even think straight anymore. We are a little nervous (well hubby is super nervous) because none of us have ever flown before. I keep telling him we will either get off of the plane at Disney World or in heaven ..... it's a win win situation

Anyone have any last minute advice? Any flying advice? Packing advice? ... oh and does anyone know if GKTW supplies any toiletries like a hotel does? soap? shampoo? Or should I just pack it all?

You have some good questions.... I've never flown with three kids before... my oldest I did but he was 1 and it wasn't very hard... pack those little goodies that the BG sent in some easy to get to places for playing with...a good thing is that you have a good range of kids ages so they can help each other I hope!

I'm getting a little nervous because we haven't received our GKTW package yet and it's only a week!!!! Maybe we'll get there and they won't have our ressie!!! I'll be super disappointed if we wind up not staying there when we've been waiting so long!!!!!

Disney or Heaven... yeah that is a win - win situation! Too cute!

I'm not sure if they provide you with supplies, I would imagine so considering all the other stuff they give you. But worse come to worse Walmart is literally around the corner and you can very easily pick up any supplies you'll need from there.

I'm not a big fan of flying either, I've even done some solo flying this past year to visit my family up north while my fiancee had to stay behind for work. Bring some gum to chew on for when the plane lands, your ears will be popping otherwise. As for packing I always hear the 'rolling up clothes' idea works. I always over pack when I travel so my bag is always WAY more stuffed than it needs to be.

During Lhea’s Make A Wish party the "fairy godmothers" gave Lhea a Make A Wish T-shirt. However, they gave her an adult small instead of a child’s small. Today Lhea got her new shirt in the mail. It fits much better!
