I am starving right now, and therefore drooling over your Chef Mickey's breakfast! It looks soooooo good. I love all the pictures, you guys look great in your tie dye and match the characters really well. Don't know if that was intended, but it's super cute!

Can't wait to see how this day shapes up.

I usually don't post my pics of buffets but those came out pretty good and they looked appetizing too. LOL

I guess we weren't planned to match the characters.... it just ended up that way.

Imagine that!

I really, REALLY like your shirts. Those are really sweet! You know, with older kids you kind of forget how much the character meet and greets are but with my daughter compiling the signature book for the kids she babysits this year it reminded me how much fun they are. Even if it takes a little coercing to get my 11 yr old son involved.

DW & I really have fun meeting the characters too. I can see how a pre-teen/teen might not think it is 'cool'. I think I am mostly past the cool stage.... mostly.

Looks like an awesome CM breakfast! Amazing that you checked in exactly on time, whew! Ana looked like she was having a blast, and what a great little photographer! She really knows how to get everyone in the shot, not typical for a child her age! We all know that she's extraordinary, though!

I really don't know how we got there on time. I thought we would be late for sure.

Juliana does a great job taking pictures. I must say she practices quite often... thank goodness for digital!

I like the matching shirts! One of these days, I'm gonna have to figure out how everyone does these Mickey tye-dyes.

It all sounds good to me. I'm surprised that it's possible to mess up something like potatoes with sausage in them. That sounds like it should be good, too.

They just had a funky flavor... I thought potatoes+sausage would = SCORE!

Thanks for taking photos of the food. It is a detail a lot of people don't capture. As a photographer, I photograph a lot of weddings and I always take photos of the food and treats.....I jsut don't take photos of people eating their dinners.....We usually forget what we ate...most of the time on purpose....but some of it is worth remembering...

Thanks! I think food photography happens quite a bit here on the DIS. Most call it 'food porn'!

Keep up the good work and I love your choice of the tie dye shirts for CM.... those Big Give customs are awesome.... I love the coordinated stuff because it looks better in group shots! So now I'm rambling..... I'll keep reading!

We tried to match most of the week.

Great update! Your shirts look great! We got a LOT of compliments on our tie dye shirts too. The food at Chef Mickey's looks yummo! Our kids loved riding the monorail through the Contemporary.

Can't wait to read more!

Funny, I never noticed this was a wreath. Every time we saw it, it was dark outside so the wreath was all lit up. All we saw were the lights in the shape of a Mickey head. I had no idea there was greenery around it.

It looked great at night with the lights!

Those shirts are awesome! Good job getting there on time. The way you were describing it I was afraid you were going to be late.

Make sure you use thinner (the green one) on the left side of the big rock up towards the ceiling. You have to make the floor disappear under the rock so the rock falls out of your way.

I hope this makes sense.

I am loving the Chef Mickey pictures. We ate there in 2007. I have an ADR for March for dinner...but I am planning on canceling it. But haven't yet, because I am debating that over Tuskerhouse breakfast. I want to do both, but one we would have to pay OOP for, plus do we need that much food in on day? LOL!

I am loving the matching look. I wish I was creative and artsy enough to make those tye dye shirts. but I think it would be more of a mess.

So Juliana wanted to play at the park, the one that was literally in your driveway at GKTW?? Didn't see that one coming, shocker!

We LOVE the WDW sign too! Since we always drive down, it's so exciting when we are close enough to see it! Then it feels like we're really beginning our vacation!

Want to know something funny? I seriously cancelled CRT breakfast yesterday afternoon and replaced it with...Chef Mickey's! My girls love it there, more so than CRT so I switched it and then saw here that you had an update with Chef Mickey's breakfast! Score! It reminded me how much we loved the breakfast there. Did I mention my addiction to Mickey waffles? I could eat them for every breakfast!

Ok, dude, you are taller than Goofy in that picture! That made me laugh because I had no idea you were that tall! Poor Juliana looks so tiny next to you and Goofy. She's so adorable!

So what was up with the pic of you and Pluto too? You were standing so far away! Do you have a fear of dogs? I'm just kidding, all of your pics are really good! I especially love the one your future photographer took of you and Mel! I'm not just saying this but she really has a good eye! Put that girl in photography school!

We've not done Chef Mickey's for breakfast in probably 10 years...I think it is time for a return visit for breakfast.

I didn't realize I was standing so far away from Pluto. I have no idea what I was doing!

Juliana is very good with pictures. We might have to buy her a real digital camera. She has already outgrown her Fisher Price camera.

We don't get too many family shots since I am the one who is usually behind the camera. I like that picture too!

It is hard to decide on ADRs. It is easier to make them now and cancel later than to want them later, because they are usually booked up by then. CM is a good restaurant though.

OK, here is my take. We have eaten at CMs for breakfast 2 times and dinner 2 or 3 times. I feel like the breakfast has gotten better while the dinner has gone down a bit. There was a huge uproar a year or so ago when CM (and a few other buffet restaurants) got rid of prime rib (i think it was prime rib?). They still carve meat there but I'm not sure of the cut.

Now don't get me wrong, we still enjoy CM for dinner, but I think I am getting swayed towards just eating there for breakfast.
