What a small world! That is really neat that Ellen lives in the same city that your DH is from! Makes it extra fun for the kids when they can connect somehow. Love the outfits. They all look darling in them, love the modeled pictures and the BIG smiles!

I love, love, love Carmella's outfit!!! My DD would love it too! But she is in bed right now- testing tomorrow, so it's early to bed.... awww shucks... that just means extra me time!!! Love it- but not as much as that BIG GIVE!

I am sooo glad that the kids liked the clothes and that everything fit!! The smiles on your kids faces make it so worthwhile for me to do this, I can't tell you how this made my day to see the pictures of the kids so happy, so I THANK YOU!! I loved seeing Catherine's smiles as she opened the package, and I am so glad that Carmella was happy with her outfit. And I loved the mickey boxers too!

You could not have done a better job capturing what my kids would like!

god bless you and your daughter. I have a daughter with Spina Bifida who has been through many surgeries, the first was when she was less than 24hours old. It is amazing how these precious little ones bounce back! My daughter is now 14 and is finishing her first year of high school, planning on going on to law school. Remember,special babies are given to special parents Enjoy your trip!!!!!!

Catherine shares a lot in common with kids with spina bifida. I'm sorry your DD has been through so much. It's scary putting such a little baby into surgery. Sounds like your DD is doing awesome, and you should be one proud mama!!

Another BIG GIVE to post about!!!
This was from Cathy, AKA twobeforhim on the DIS. My apologies as I seemed to miss a couple of the "opening" moments I hoped to capture!

Cathy sent a nice letter wishing us well on our trip! Catherine did the reading this time!

John was the first to open today.

He got an awesome robot sticker book, and some Cars stickers!! He was very pleased with his gifts!

Carmella opened next! She got a beautiful Tink tunic blouse! It's just adorable, and fits perfectly. Another winner in her book! She's hard to please, and you Big Give ladies have done awesome by her!

Then it was Catherine's turn...
She had two packages to open. Her comment as she opened this one was "How does she know I like Ariel?!"

Then, she opened a beautiful sundress with a cute little Sleeping Beauty on the front!
(I somehow didn't get a pic of her opening this one...but here she is modeling it!)
She LOVES it!!

Here's one of Carmella modeling the tunic top...it's really just perfect! Tink is one of her favorites!! She's still got her shorts on from school underneath, but I told her we'd pick up some leggings to match!

And here's John showing off his stickers! He didn't want to be left out of the modeling fun!

Thank you SO much Cathy! The Big Give is so amazing...it really makes all the kids feel so special!! You did a great job and captured what my kids would like so well. We are one lucky family.

Oh yippy skippy!!! I am so relieved that they fit and like them!!! It's always a little scary to make things just by measurements alone! My kiddos wear leggins or shorts under dresses and skirts all the time. Hopefully they will be cool and comfy!!! I am so excited for all of you!!! And really it is such an honor to be able to participate!!!

So, I've been kinda MIA from my PTR for a couple of days. Busy weekend I guess. Soccer, t-ball, birthday parties, etc, etc...you know how it goes. Oh yeah, and our 11 year wedding anniversary was Saturday night. We celebrated by watching Tinkerbelle and the Lost Treasure! DH did make dinner for me, so I won't complain too much!

On Friday afternoon, the kids came running in the door yelling....

ANOTHER FAIRY GODMOTHER PACKAGE!!!

Okay, so I was actually completely distracted by a phone conversation, and didn't realize they were digging right in (they have since learned their lessons, that mama needs to be poised with the camera before they tear open ANY package! ).

Remember the big box of beautiful princess dresses from Elizabeth AKA llaxton? Well, this package was from her as well. I must say, my kids think you are one special person...and as for me, I am floored by your generosity!!! Each one got a set of Disney jammies...and they were all THRILLED!!! Everything fit perfectly...Catherine's were pink princess jams, Carmella got an adorable Tink set, and John's was his favorite...Lightning McQueen!!!

They were given the thumbs up to start wearing them now...they don't need to go in the "packing for Disney" box...yet!


So, my pics are horrible. Have I mentioned that I need a new camera?! This one is so temperamental...and this time, I took horrible shots. Sorry!

And of course, the silly face picture!

THanks ladies...ummm, yeah...the countdown chain is quickly shrinking!!

We got our package from GKTW yesterday. I quickly scanned it, and then panicked a bit because where it says "Transportation provided by:" it says GKTW! And we were told we have a rental car, so I quickly sent a note off to Christy our wish granter and asked her to figure this out for us! We will rent a car if we have to, but this was one of our big questions initially, and it had already been confirmed that we had a car, so hopefully it will all work out. At least I'm worrying about this 3 weeks out, and not 3 days out!

On another note, I kept John home today with horrible allergy symptoms...my little asthma guy goes downhill very fast, so I am crossing my fingers that keeping him in today laying low will do the trick. When I put him to bed tonight, I felt pretty positive that he would make school tomorrow...we'll see!

Hopefully you will hear back soon about the transportation, but I THINK you may be ok... ours says that too, but have read that the arrangement for the rental car is thru GKTW so that may be why it says that on your paperwork, even though you are getting a rental car... Just my .02

You were right Tami! Christy e-mailed me back last night with the answer...

I just received confirmation from the MAW office that you are confirmed for a rental car. Apparently Give Kids The World has recently finished their exclusive agreement with Avis, so they now have muliple firms to contract with. From my understanding the cars are picked up at the airport.

So, I'm feeling better now! Thankfully, our wish granters are awesome and so responsive!
