Glad the postcard made it! The kids insisted we pick out the SAME postcard that we got! You are just going to have the BEST time!

I love the dresses --- ADORABLE!!!!! She's ready to rock the castle!!!

Awwww! I'm glad my 8 year old still has a little bit of that princess left. I think having a younger (and MUCH smaller) sister helps to keep her from growing up too fast!

Oh there's definately something to be said for younger siblings. Mostly I hear people say older siblings influence younger ones and cause them to grow up too fast but that hasn't been my experience. My older ones still get a kick out of playing Little People with my 4 year old. It's hysterical when they all get involved.

My dd is actually 10 and the only girl so yes, princesses are out. She is a girlie girl though................loves her American Girl dolls, and wears lots of skirts and dresses; just not frilly things anymore. I'm just feeling lucky she hasn't gone the jeans and t-shirt route.......................yet

[I did e-mail the wish granter yesterday about whether others were invited, etc. She said normally it's extended family and close friends, but there was a "third party interested in hosting this one" so she'd get back to me when she had more details. She has me curious, that's for sure![/QUOTE]

I guess we'll see. I haven't even mentioned it to the kids yet, since I have no idea. When all was said and done, the wish granter said just our family and my parents. So now I'm thinking it's something low key...maybe at a restaurant or something?

WOW....4 WEEKS!!!! I cannot believe how close we are!! I really need to start getting into organization mode. This is the busiest time of year anyway, and to add in getting organized for this trip!!!

YIKES...between now and the time we leave for Florida...

Soccer games twice each weekend, plus practice during the week.
T-ball practice/games twice a week.
Daddy's baseball games twice a week.
Our 11th anniversary on 4/24.
I'm running a 10K on 4/25.
Wish "party"? on 4/30
My 40th b-day on 5/5.
Carmella's First Communion on 5/8 (complete with a few houseguests and a party to throw)
Plus, 3 birthday parties, 2 Daisy meetings, field day at the girls' school, etc, etc...
I really could go on and on...I swear as the kids get older, things just get busier and busier!!

But, for today...John is home with me and it's just kind of a quiet day to recover and catch up from the weekend...aka

Saturday was a big day for mail though....

A package from the BIG GIVE!!!!!

This was from April...DIS name? I don't know! But, it was for ME!! I have to admit, that the kids were a little bummed that it was just for me, but too bad for them...their time will come. Anyway, April included a nice note, and told me not to be offended...

ME? Not likely. It's this fantastic Lady Tremaine applique shirt!! I LOVE it, and I told the kids that I would be happy to play the role for them anytime!

April, it fits perfectly, and I have to apologize because I am having camera issues and don't have a picture with it on. I just got it working, and John is not a great one to rely on to take the pics! I'll try to get one later when the girls are home. I love it!! Thank you so much, April!!!!

THere was another package in the mail for Catherine. This one was from her wish granters, Christy and Amanda!!! She was so excited!!!
SHe got a Sleeping Beauty t-shirt and photo/autograph book!

(Again with the camera issue...gotta get that resolved before the trip!!! My LCD screen is shattered, and I'm having battery issues as well. )

Anyway, she's at school, but I really wanted to get a post up, so I'll try to get another pic later with her modeling the shirt!

It's all starting to become so real for the kids...their countdown chain is getting shorter and shorter, the postcard from Mickey last week (which Carmella took to school to share!), and the packages coming in the mail!!!

Love the Lady Tremain shirt that April sent! She's such a sweetie! And how cute that the Wish Granters even sent a pretty tee and book....we filled up one whole book half way through our last trip! It was one of those trips where we tried to meet everyone!!!

We got a BIG GIVE package yesterday!!!!!

It was from Ellen, aka ellenbenny. The kids were so excited because the package came from the same city where Daddy is from, and several of their cousins are there!

Carmella is reading the nice note Ellen put in!

There were wrapped up packages for each kid, and Catherine got to go first. See the smile creeping across her face?

She was thrilled with this beautiful Minnie dress! The knots are awesome and make it so easy to adjust!! It fits absolutely perfect, and she LOVES it!!

Now it's John's turn. The smiles were pretty much instantaeous as they unfolded the clothes. John got a Goofy Darth Vader appliqued shirt, and he wanted to wear it all night! He especially loves Goofy's Mickey boxers!

Finally it was Carmella's turn. I thought they were going to kill me for making them go one at a time, but I wanted to make sure to capture the moment! It's a beautiful knit tank top and shorts.

This is SO her style, and she couldn't wait to try it on. It fits perfectly, and we love the way the back ties!!

Ellen, you did a fabulous job!!! Of course, DH was just in awe of the whole thing, as I don't think he quite knew what to expect when I told him about the Big Give. Amazingly generous people is what the big give is. The words "Thank you" don't even begin to express my gratitude for your time and generosity.

We learned that the wish party is going to be at Maggiano's restaurant. Our wish granters have no idea what it entails, as they were just told that Maggiano's really wanted to host a wish party, so we were the lucky recipients! It's next Friday, the 30th, so I guess we'll just wait and see what happens. It's only for the 5 of us, and my parents, so I'm not expecting anything too extravagant. We've eaten there once, and Catherine loves italian food, so I'm sure whatever they do will be special.

I am sooo glad that the kids liked the clothes and that everything fit!! The smiles on your kids faces make it so worthwhile for me to do this, I can't tell you how this made my day to see the pictures of the kids so happy, so I THANK YOU!! I loved seeing Catherine's smiles as she opened the package, and I am so glad that Carmella was happy with her outfit. And I loved the mickey boxers too!

god bless you and your daughter. I have a daughter with Spina Bifida who has been through many surgeries, the first was when she was less than 24hours old. It is amazing how these precious little ones bounce back! My daughter is now 14 and is finishing her first year of high school, planning on going on to law school. Remember,special babies are given to special parents Enjoy your trip!!!!!!
