Okay...dd is heading to WDW, in June, with her two friends. It's a high school graduation trip for them. I have booked a BW studio for them. My dd is 18, and is an associate member on our contract. I keep having this thought of what happens if she loses her AP or such. Naturally, I bought it with the DVC discount. So....if she had to replace it, what would they ask her for?? I have always had to have photo ID (license) as well as my DVC member card. Well...she doesn't have a member card as an associate. We do have the same address though....so, if she had my member card in hand, with her license, would that be good enough for a replacement AP??
I know, I know....I worry too much.

You need your member card to purchase an AP with the DVC discount but you do not need it to replace a lost AP. Your DD will just need to show a photo ID at any Guest Services window at the parks or DtD and they will issue her a new one.

My DD19 has taken 2 trips to WDW with friends and they had a blast. I'm sure your daughter is going to have a great time!

Thanks....that's how I was hoping it would work. They are really looking forward to this trip...all by themselves. Losing an AP is not a stretch for dd!!!!

Make copies (front and back) of her AP and keep it at home so you can fax it down if she were to happen to loose it

This is not necessary with APs. When you purchase an AP they put all of your information into the system. To replace one you just show a photo ID, they look you up and print a new pass.

It's great advice for on-AP holders though. The only way to replace a regular ticket is with the number on the back.

As stated all she has to have is her Driver's License. It is so easy to replace an AP, at any park guest service window or Downtown Disney.

I agree it's very easy to replacing an AP. DH has lots of experience! :rolleyes1 Just an id at a guest service location.

Have to admit...it is a recurring problem with the DH!!! Glad to see that I am not alone!!! There's a reason I hold onto his!!

You are so not alone with DH losing things. Mine is so well trained the second he runs his pass through the entry gate or Fast Pass machine he automatically turns and hands it over to me before he can drop it on the ground, into the toilet, etc.

It's great that you can get a lost AP replaced with just a photo ID - but you have to have that photo ID- as in you can't have lost it along with the AP. So - remind your daughter of that and maybe she can plan to keep them in different places (maybe leave the photo ID back in the safe in her room).

My daughter was on her first solo DVC trip with her best friend - and lost her whole wallet at AK. After a very tearful call home we sent her passport fedex (so that she had ID to get on the plane coming home) along with her checkbook (debit card - her only cash source - was in the wallet) so she'd have money for the last two days of her trip. Her AP was in a pocket in the little backpack she carries in the park - fortunately that wasn't in her wallet as well.

The pixie dust happy ending was that about a day and a half after the wallet went missing - it was returned to her by a CM - fully intact. We still wish we knew the story of who found it and how it made it's way back to her - it's our happy Disney mystery!

Hope your daughter has a great trip!
