A week in June or 2nd week of July?

We are planning our first DL trip this summer. We are planning July 6th-13th or is there a good week in June? Our DS last day of school is June 8th. Should we stick with July 6th-13th?

If you could go right after he gets out of school I would. It's not as hot and the crowds are not as heavy as July. It will still be busy but manageable. Try for June 9

Well there are grad nights but they happen in late may and early June. I don't think the dates are out yet for that but if its anything like previous years the grad nights should be over by the second week of June

Grad nights end on June 21, but I wouldn't worry if you're concerned about hours as they aren't affected that much. Google Disneyland grad night and u can see the details....we are going June 9-15, and hoping crowds aren't as bad as July.

I would let the grad nights pass from what I've heard and go the last week of June. I have heard Once the 4th hits crowds increase. We went that last wk last yr and it was managable. W/ CL opening, I think it was always busy but DL wasn't terrilbe and DCA felt pretty crazy.

I posted this in another thread about grad nights. We'll be there June 15-19, 2013 (with 3 park days 6/16-18). I read a lot of advice about avoiding days with grad nites so that's what I did! I hope this helps!

Disney will have something they promote but no matter how much they promote the big stuff happened this past summer. So I would not expect any big crowd surges. So that leaves you with grad nights. And those do impact evening crowds. Hard to say how hard you should try to avoid these or just go an deal with it. Crowds will be lighter early June but if Disney expects that they will shorten park hours. So you may get less crowds but less hours.

Not really.

But if Disney decides to start summer peak season in mid-June then entertainment will be limited mid-week. If you go after about June 21 you are usually safe with entertainment. If you go before that it really depends on the year.
