Hello, I'm a college student and for one of my student projects I've decided to make a Disney website. Some of the better points I have in mind are:

- Profile System
- "Blackout Day" and hours for the day (If you login, and select what type of AP you have, on your main page it will tell you the opening hours and if it's a blackout day for you)
- Disneyland Rides and Restaurent Information (Not only cool facts, hidden mickeys, menu prices, etc this area will have a page for each ride where guests can post a comment about the ride, if they liked it or disliked it and how long they waited for it (To compile an average wait time)).
- Disney pictures (Allows users to upload a certain MB amount of pictures to display on their profile, random picture of the day, etc)
- Movie reviews (Of new and old disney movie releases)

On top of that little things like news about disney, ticket prices, etc.

So I just have a few questions for you all, is anyone interested in going to this site daily/weekly/etc or am I wasting my time with it? Do you have any suggestions for it?

Also, I dont want to be in competition with Dis/Disboards, I want to work with them and maybe even make them the official forums for it, so how would I go about getting into the network of sites with them?

Bump. I'd like any comments on this, even if it's just a "it's been done" so I know not to waste my time.

I haven't a clue as to how you would go about it but it sounds like an interesting project and I would love to take a look. Good luck. :thumbsup2

Since this is pertaining to Disneyland I think you would get a better response on the Disneyland/California board ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo . There are many many Disney boards but if you find that one thing that hasn't been done yet then I think you could have a very successful project :thumbsup2 . One thing I would strongly suggest is to make it easy to navigate :teacher: , there is nothing worse then a site you can't figure out  . But I would first study all the websites to see what has already been done. pixiedust:

All ears net is a an extremely comprehensive website with basically EVERYTHING you want to know about WDW. The pp was kidding saying you should just copy it and foist it off as your own...

Just wanted to add that sometimes you never know what websites will grab the attention of the Disney fan! I have a website all about the Disney characters and their autographs, and when I wrote it, I was wondering if it would get any hits at all! :teeth: I thought it would be a very "niche" thing with a small audience, but that was OK with me! Happy to say the website done far better than I ever hoped! :) Another "niche" website that cracks me up is the one all about the bathrooms at WDW! Lots of work went into that!! :rotfl2: I don't know if you can think of some "niche" thing that hasn't been done before about Disneyland, but that could be a fun website to make! :)

Good luck on your project, whatever you decide! :)
