A warning regarding Epcot F&W ...

We love the F&W Festival, but we would never try to walk around World Showcase on a Friday or Saturday night during F&W. Too many people and too many of them drunk for our taste.

Not the stuff imported to the US.

I was in the UK last year and was told that the alcohol content of UK beer was not higher then American beer because the British government increases the beer tax when breweries increase their alcohol content. I was also at the F&W festival on Saturday but I left fairly early - I did see a few drunks. One place to avoid is the small bathroom near Canada. It is not built for the large crowds that were using it. Head the other way to the UK bathroom.

I am happy that I am not the only one that experienced what the OP saw this weekend. I thought I was being overly critical. While there, we saw many people that were drunk, the smell at some places was sickening (from alcohol), and poor Jasmine was harassed by an obviously drunk dumb a** . We left at 5:30. I wasn't put off to the event but the behavior of some people just made it a place I didn't want to be, even if my DD4 wasn't with me.

funny a number have posted about seeing drunk people at epcot all the time and i never have..maybe yet another advantage of going off season?

We'll be at WDW next year for the last weekend of F & W; I think we'll stick to going in the daytime!

we've never been at the F&W festival, but we've definitely encountered drunks at epcot...it's one of the few things i dislike about it...the fact that they serve alcohol...

we've also had the unpleasant experience of riding in a monorail car together with drunks on that very long stretch from epcot to the TTC....and these were the kind of people that you wouldn't really want to be stuck on the monorail with when they're sober....so drunk was really really scary....

since then i'm always very very careful about who i get into the monorail with...
