Gee, I hope there are some spots left for brunch for the Foolish people who are not in your group. And others who may not be on any gruop and don't have much chance to make advanced reservations.

Marsha, this gang is talking about the private dining room request, which anyone can fax in, in advance for brunchs and dinners. DCL decides who gets them and advises about 30 days out, and then cancels any indiviudal reservations the people in that group have made, so no one is getting any additional reservations. As a matter of fact when a group is OK'd by DCL, regular Palo reservations open up!


Oh wait....are you just teasing? Don't worry, I've got you covered (along with friends Jennifer & Dennis) in the 'new friends to introduce/include' in any 'old friends' activities! You want in on the group brunch...you can be my 'date'!

Hi Marsha....I know that's your name because that's what Jackie called you so you must know her. Don't you worry, this is a very friendly group. We believe in that old saying....the more the merrier......it just seems to work out that way. So jump right in, we don't bite. I'm looking forward to getting to know you. Are you doing the B2B? Near DL and the port....that's very wise. John likes to rent cars and drive....and I like to stay near the ocean. I loved CA when we were there after the PC....that was my first time. I'm excited to be going back. This time we'll be doing San Diego for one day, LA we're staying in and San Francisco on the cruise. That's perfect for me to explore more of CA. This will probably be my favorite part of the trip. I'm not too keen on going to Alaska....it's cold there. But I'm going to be with the greatest group of friends and to enjoy myself. I'm hoping to be amazed by Alaska and change my mind with a BBC in hand. haha.

Switch that drink out of a spiked hot coffee or chocolate beverage! Maybe hot chocolate with Frangelico...that sounds good!

To my fellow Thieves, I met Marsha at a DIS meet here in AZ in '03 or '04. She moved east for several years, but is back here now. Most recently, she was the hostess for the DCL 'house party' I attended last year. AND she has a great fur-baby, Chu, a very lovable pug. Nan and Cheri and Peg will meet her on the Jan 2 day cruise to nowhere, you'll all meet her on the repo/Alaska AND she'll be on the November Dream B2B too!

Had really intermittent internet connection over the past couple of days so have been very frustrated with not being able to get online!!! It's working OK at the moment but no guarantees as the cable company can't find the source of the fault..

Anyway, we've really firmed up some ideas for this trip and have definitely decided to go to San Diego for the day using Amtrak on their Pacific Surfliner. Seems you can catch that from Anaheim which is great news...

We're planning on going to San Diego on the Friday as we'll probably be up bright and early due to flying in the day before - that way we can get a full day there.. TBH I wasn't thinking of hiring a car as the Amtrak appears to stop at a few different SD locations so I figured we'd pick the place we want to visit the most, get off there and then, if we want to switch to a different location, catch a cab.. It's just vague at the mo - I need a guide book to get some firmer ideas. So it's off to Amazon I go!!!
