That's why I like watching NewNowNext on LOGO. Sometimes the vidoes are a bit...odd, but often you get gems like this one.

That's a she? Ok, I'll take your word for it. I don't blame her for being angry if her friend was killed, but the question is what comes next? Does she amplify the anger into a hateful video [yes], or does she dissovle the anger by offering a poignant video of who this Kevin was [no].

I'm simply pointing out the irony of producing a hateful video whose purported message is that hate is bad. Please don't hate me for that.

The red stripes contain the text of the First Amendment, the white stripes and the field of stars contain names of individuals and groups such as Martin Luther King, Act Up, the PLO, NOW, the DAR, the John Birch Society and a host of other people whose speech is protected by that amendment. Some I like, some I don't like-but regardless of my personal feelings, what they say and do is protected.

I guess I understood her anger at the needless loss of life. I didn't find the video hateful at all. I can understand her frustration with people who identify themselves as followers of Christ (who spoke of Loving thy Neighbor) and preach hatred of homosexuals.

Yes, I believe an applicable term would be that she is displaying righteous indignation. She is using her heartache and anger to spread the message that hate kills. A soft little ballad would be less effective. Actually, given the circumstances, I think she displayed remarkable restraint and used her passion with great effectiveness.
