A very tiny picture-less trip report! Or as I will call it, a DISNEY VENT!

Hello to all! I had originally planned to make a full trip report for this trip, but decided against it in the long run! Maybe next trip! But I still wanted to share my thoughts of this last trip with everyone!

First off, the trip was 27 women of ages varying from 13-on up. Our trip was from 8/30/13-9/2/13, a very short weekend trip! We would be volunteering at GKTW on the 30th, and have two theme park days, then drive home!

Well the drive went fairly smooth thankfully! Finally, we saw that beautiful sign and everyone was so excited! I had personally not stayed on-site for many years and was very excited to be thrown right into the magic! We arrive at the front desk eager to check-in, we happened to be there earlier than expected and had an hour and half to get to GKTW for our tour! Our first problem arose when the cast member was not friendly at all! She was down right rude! I understand everyone has bad days, but IT WAS DISNEY! I was so looking forward to that extra magic from staying on-site and I was disappointed. But I decided to move on, I was there and everyone was safe! We were assigned to Mighty Ducks, at first we were excited! With it being building two, we figured we would be close to everything, wrong! But still I was hopeful the magic would be somewhere! After unloading 27 women's luggage we get to our rooms, to find none of our keys worked! By this time we had an hour to freshen up and get to our tour. I was optimistic, thinking that Disney would understand our time crunch and help us out. Wrong again! I trekked back to the front desk asking about our room situation, and they're reply was "Oh, . I guess we forgot to active the keys." To which my reply was " You think"

I am normally a very patient and understanding person, but I had planned this trip to GKTW months in advance. Disney was a bonus for us, and the tour was important. By the time they fixed the problem we were too late for our tour. We never even got an apology. What we did get from a manager was a "No Worries" I understand it's Disney and it's a Lion King reference and while it is cute, I felt he was undermining my situation. It is a bit of a worry to us, we have somewhere else to be and we wouldn't have had this problem if the crab at the front desk would have activated our keys. Thankfully, the rest of the evening went great! We received A+++ treatment from another cast member from Movies, and had amazing cast member experiences in the theme parks. I will say that I think the All Star resorts are going downhill, I have stayed here before and had a wonderful experience, but this trip left a lot to be desired. In fact, we started calling the All Star resorts the cast member graveyard," where Disney sends the bad grass."

I hated to come on here and bash Disney, I love Disney, I won't say more than anyone else, because I know many people love Disney just like I do. But I am a fanatic, and I do expect amazing service when I go to Disney, as do many people. I expect it because I know they are capable of it, and I just feel they have had more problems recently than they use to. I do hope the next trip starts off better!

Thank you for letting me vent! :headache:
