A VERY SPECIAL Phone Call Tonight from California!!!

Bobby and the rest of his Marine Corp unit are back in the United States after a 16 hour flight! He sounded absolutely wonderful on the phone - no more long pauses while talking. He said that they are all exhausted, but so thankful to be back on American soil.

He said he couldn't believe it when they stepped off the plane - a cool breeze and everything was green - after 5 months of sand!

Their paperwork begins tomorrow and they are TRUELY hoping to be "back home again in Indiana" by next weekend.

That is such exciting news!!! I ma glad they are here safe and sound.....well, maybe not as sound as they will be in a few weeks when everyone is home with the family.

Wow! That's so cool Patty. I'm glad to hear Bobby's back in the states. You remember that ketchup commercial from years ago when they would sing "Anticipation, makin' me wait"? I'll bet that's what it's like now with Bobby, when he's so near but not quite home yet.

Now that he's almost home I want to publically thank you for sharing Bobby with all of us. It brought what was happening a little closer to my heart and it gave me something/someone to focus on. You are a fantastic lady who has done a wonderful job raising her kids. Thank you for sharing one of them with us during a very trying time.

Great news. I remember being the spouse waiting for DH return with 2 small children (he left when baby was 1 month old). That phone call when they are home or watching the plane land is the best moment in the world!
