A Very Special Phone Call from California!!!

Bobby and the rest of his Marine Corp unit are back in the United States after a 16 hour flight! He sounded absolutely wonderful on the phone - no more long pauses while talking. He said that they are all exhausted, but so thankful to be back on American soil.

He said he couldn't believe it when they stepped off the plane - a cool breeze and everything was green - after 5 months of sand!

Their paperwork begins tomorrow and they are TRUELY hoping to be "back home again in Indiana" by next weekend.

THATS WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!

So glad they made it home safe and sound.....bet the hot water tanks ran out of hot water after everyone took a long leisurely shower . But its got to be tough to know they are so close now but yet so far away that you can't give a big ole' hug .. Give Bobby and Dustin a big hug from our family when you finally get to see them in person....So glad to read they are going to let Fred come in with them...he certainly deserves the honor.

No... , he's not home yet. Still sitting in California waiting for a plane home.

We were told it would be Wednesday or Thursday...and now it 's Thursday, and they're still there and we're still waiting.

His grandparents are here from St. Louis, and I feel like I'm awaiting the "birth" of a child....the only difference being that this "child" is 25 years old, and weighs 170 lbs.
