A Very Duggar Wedding

I thought it was wonderful! The Duggers seem like a great family.

I would NEVEr allow my child to marry someone like that. I don't undestand how you can marry someoone you've never had sex with or kissed. iIhought tJim Bob was pretty much calling women stupid, flighty people who just want a wedding and want to talk about trival things. He made marraige sound like a job. it's not a job. I's a commitment. I on't think they are following God's "potocol". To me the best loveing famly on TV is Jon and kate. Tey are a real family with realy morals and they are NORMAL!

Why were they dressed alike?

Problem with not allowing, Un, once they are eighteen, you really don't have a say in it. And for Jon and Kate, If my son came home with a wife like Kate, I would have to disown him, I didn't raise my son to be talked to by anybody like Kate talks to Jon. They are in no way normal. sorry, Money hungry, and using their kids for money. sorry but that is my opinion.
And I am sure plenty of people have gotten married before without having Sex. Never kissing before being married I don't understand.

I am a firm believer in test driving the car before you buy it. And speaking from experience, I fully support living together for at least 6 months before marriage. It can save lots of money and heartache. I only wish my parents would have allowed this before I married my ex-husband!

Did anyone catch that during the "re-enactment" of the proposal (which, IMHO was the most ridiculous part of the whole show), that the girl playing the part of Anna had to remove a ring from her left hand? What was that all about? Is she engaged in real life?

Oh, and who knew that Jesus changed the water into "grape juice." That one was news to me.

She (I think it was Anna's sister) did that because Anna did that when Josh proposed. I don't think they ever said what kind of ring it was, but because of their ideals, I just assumed it was a purity ring. I think the older Duggar girls wear them.

I do think the Duggars are way out there on most of their beliefs, but I did enjoy the show.

I had planned to wait until my wedding night to go all the way, but life happened, oh well. I didn't get the whole dressing alike thing either, jsut a little weird to me. they really were into that hand holding thing, I thought Josh was going to rub the skin off poor Anna's hand. Her dress was a bit old lady. She said conservative, more old lady, frumpy. My dress was kinda conservative, but not that bad.

I do have to defend that book, I don't know which one he gave Josh, but Dr Wheat has it right in the s*x department. I have read some of his work and it is very good and not what you would think from a Christian writer. It is written very tastefully and discussed in detail how things should be done. I think more young people should read his work before jumping in the sack and there would be alot more happy (satisfied) people in the world.

On another note... that Jim Bob is one self-centered character. Could he not have let his DS and DIL be the center of attention for once? Did he really NEED to have the microphone????


And I like Amy, but she was out of line getting involved in the cake-cutting.

I had fun watching it. There aren't a lot of shows that I want my 12 year old to watch, but this one is OK.
Do you really think they made that yell in their hotel room at the end of the show? DH thinks they dubbed it in.

I bet they said "WOW" alot!!
