Awww, what horrible timing for all this to be happening! I really hope your friend can at least get some time off to join you.

It's a tough situation. I don't wanna appear all heartless about the girl who's going to visit her sister, but at the same time, I don't wanna cancel my trip either!
I really hope it works out. And I hope she finds out soon because if I need to find an alternate person to join me, the sooner I can ask them the better. The trip is only a week away! I am not sure if I can even cancel my hotel reservations anymore.

Usually hotel reservations only need you to give them about 24hrs or less. But hopefully it doesn't resort to that. I understand hoping that she can still go, even though her sister is in the hospital.

If worse comes to worse, you could try and come down 2 weeks later and join us for a few days. Although we won't be staying in a hotel there. But I don't blame you if you don't want to wait any longer!

Yeah, well it's not my friend's sister who is in the hospital, it's her coworkers sister. I think I probably wrote it kinda confusing at first. So my friend Jenny who is supposed to go with me, her coworker has a sister who is in the hospital. So Jenny may have to cover the extra shifts at work so the girl can visit her sister.


And I already put in my vacation request and he already has the schedule done so I can't change that. So I have a week off already. Ahhh.....this sucks.

Well it looks like that pixie dust worked for me because it turns out my friend is still able to go on our trip! Wooo!!! So we are still heading to DLR and San Diego

Gah! Work is driving me nuts, lol. Looks like I still have to do one more overnight shift. It's got it's pros and cons. Sigh. Hope everyone is having a good (or OK) Monday. I got my shift extended today (and all week) and I'm goons to the movies afterward so I'll catch you all later!

Reservation for Blue Bayou is booked for Tuesday Aug 16th at 6:00pm! Looks like I'll be celebrating my parents anniversary (even though they are not together anymore) without them with an expensive dinner! Lol.
