I've been talking to my mom about this possible trip, and it sounds like she might help out a bit to make it happen for us. Just little things like food, and maybe a bit of money for gas. I am not getting my hopes up yet, cause I don't fully know what Dillon thinks, but it's hard not to think it might happen!

Boy do I understand Andrea. I have a hard time getting excited over trips because things always seem to fall through on me.

It is so easy for plans to fall through! It's so hard not getting hopes up though. I talked to Dillon and he is all for it. So if we can get $$$ together, it sounds like we are going around the first week of August. I know that it's going to be busy, but that's ok. We will still have a good time! We just have to not go out anywhere this next couple months and save all our extra cash, and we should be ok. Budget will be tight down there, but we don't need to splurge like last time. We will be driving down again, and Seth will be coming with us. But he might only come into the parks with us one day. My mom will watch him the rest. I at least want to get a picture of him with Mickey! Lol. Ugh, so hard not to be excited!!!

Have you been there around that time before? I know it's going to be busy, but is it pretty insane to go at that time?

Last year my family went in the beginning of aug, i think it was aug 6-7. It was a Friday/Saturday and I remember it not bring that bad at all crowd-wise. The weather was also cooler than usual for that time of year too, it never got higher than 75! It was definately less crowded than my Halloween and spring break visits, but I don't know if that's the norm for early aug or it was just an odd week within the summer crowds?

Aw, that would be awesome if it works out for you Andrea! As far as crowds go, take a look at when the AP blockouts are lifted. That would impact crowds but otherwise I don't think it should be too bad.

My mom is ordering the park tickets right now! So if we don't go in August, we definitely have to go by Dec. But I think we can pull off this trip. Dillon really wants to go. He is willing to give up his vacation days for this instead of using them for Christmas, so I can tell he likes the idea. We just have to save everything we can. No expensive meals in the parks. We will bring snacks in and make the odd trip to McD's!

The house my Mom is going to be sitting is right near Michael Jackson's parents house, where his kids are living now. That is going to be kind of surreal for me, staying so close to them! Oh I can't help it...I am getting excited!

Airmiles has 7 day park tickets on for the same amount of points as 3 day....this trip is turning out to be awesome!!

I know! It's pretty exciting for me! But I am not going to be stalking the house or anything, lol. Maybe if Michael was still there, though!

Eeek! It's hitting me now, lol! Dillon is booking the time off today, hopefully it goes through. Then all we have to do is save. Not sure what kind of planning we will do. With 6 or 7 days (not sure we have enough time off for the full 7 days) we don't really have to plan too much I don't think. Most of our planning will be to make sure we have everything we need for Seth, then ourselves.

I am hoping the weather will be nicer than it was last October. It rained a lot, and it was pretty cold. And that's coming from a Canadian! Lol.

I will be throwing a fit if it's raining in August!! California summers are supposed to be dry, not soaking wet. It's strange enough that it's raining (where I am) right now. It's almost JULY!! I hate this. I want my summer weather and I want it now.

To those of you who have driven to the parks, are there any deals you can get on parking? I don't care if we have to walk a bit to a different lot or something. Just don't want to pay tons!
