Yes, the mountains here are huge. The city I live in is surrounded by mountains. We live in a bowl,and the mountains surround us. We had a bear in our neighborhood last week. Tessa texted me from the bus stop and said a Police officer stopped and told the kids to be careful. We see moose on a regular basis in our front yard. It is really nice. They always eat our pumpkins at Halloween. And in the spring they have their babies. They ARE ADORABLE.

Wow, that sounds so wonderful. When the bears go into the neighborhoods in northern California there is a panic. Last time I saw a bear in the wilderness it was in Yosemite National Park and I was a kid. I have never seen a moose other than on TV or in the zoo. I have seen several Deer in the wild it just isn't the same.

On the other hand though, there are things in California I would love to see. I really want to tour a Vineyard and go to a beach. And I would really love to be closer to DL.

Meh I have vineyards right here. I can go less than 10 miles from home and see a vineyard. On the other hand I love the Napa Valley. I can be at the Sonoma coast, that I love in less than two hours. Disneyland in less than 7 hours with stops. I guess it's not so bad.

Sounds good to me. I can drive a whole day and get to.............Canada! Not that I have anything against Canada. But we really don't have access to connecting states and such like you guys do. I think that's what really bothers me.

Yeah, you are kind of isolated. I feel when I am driving in California that it goes forever so I can't even imagine what it feels like for you. When I went through Texas years ago and I thought that was a forever trip.

When we took our trip last year we drove from Amarillo, TX. to Alaska and stopped at several places along the way. It did seem like it took along time to get through some of the places. But it was all so pretty and there was so much to see.

I read on one of your posts that you were in DL during the WOC opening. We were there as well on that date.

We can trade you Alaska for Quebec if you like? They don't want to be a part of our country anyways, and they are connected to the rest of the US unlike Alaska, well sort of anyways.

Sounds like you guys want to trade places for a bit. Too bad there wasn't cruises that went from Alaska to California!

Michele, a cruise sounds like a wonderful idea. I actually picked up Disney's latest cruise booklet when I went by a travel agency last week. It had all the prices and everything in it. It's a cool book. Makes me want to go on one. The prices seemed not too bad, but I had never looked at prices for a cruise before so I don't know what the differences are. I would probably stick with Disney anyways though, just cause it's Disney. A cruise didn't even sound at all appealing to me until I heard about the Disney ones, lol.

We got there on the Sunday after it opened on that Friday. Wow was it busy. Crazy stuff. Did you see WoC while you were there?


There are a lot of pretty places that you drove through, I am not a fan of Texas landscape. There are much prettier places I think.

We got to Anaheim on Wednesday and we were there through Monday. Yes, we did see WOC. Our last day in the park was supposed to be Monday. It was so crowded, We left before noon and went back to the Rv Park and relaxed by the pool.

We were there through the following Saturday. I was glad we were there for so many days because we were able to escape when it got overwhelming and we didn't feel like we missed anything.

Well, when you consider food is part of the price it makes it a lot more reasonable than you might think too. I think I need to go by the travel agent or AAA. I want to check out all of our options.

I agree. When you consider what is included in the price of a cruise, it's a pretty good deal. I have seen really good offers with Carnival Cruises.

I need to look at them too. I was reading the Disney website and all of the food, non alcoholic drinks shipboard are included. You can't beat that.

We were there through the following Saturday. I was glad we were there for so many days because we were able to escape when it got overwhelming and we didn't feel like we missed anything.

All the other days were fine. But on Monday it was so busy you couldn't even do anything. Space Mountain was over an hour wait, as were most other rides. It was not fun.

That was the way it stayed all week. Our kids figured out that if they did the single rider line they got on the rides much faster.

Hey Chrissie! I am doing good. Had an appointment today and the doctor told me that if I went into labor any time now it would be ok. So I am hoping for sooner than later.

Not really, but he figured a couple weeks still. I really only have a few weeks left. My best friend is throwing me a baby shower on Sunday so I would be ok if it happened anytime after that!

When I had Kacy I tried all of the old wives tale things to try and go into labor. By the time I got to your stage I was so done with it. Lol it was about 2 weeks later that she came.
