Oh my goodness, I saw your ticker today and you must be SO excited!! Getting to live in Disney would be such a dream come true; I think I would be jumping out of my skin! I can't wait to read all about the rest of your trip, but also about your DCP experience.​

That view is gorgeous! And yay for Disney outlets! I have a cup like that except it has Tinkerbell all over it and I use it alll the time!

I love that suitcase! The space bag fits perfect... Nice way to make use out of all the space bags! Its incredible how much stuff they can hold and make fit

Checked my dd in to Chatham on Wednesday. We went to Target and Walmart soon after check in and bought a lot of the things you already purchased. She used space bags as well!

I spacebagged everything when I moved from Pennsylvania to Colorado and it was SO helpful. Eventually they lost some air, but that was after a 3 day drive which I don't think will be a problem for you (and they were old ones that I kept unvacuumming and resealing before leaving. It was fun to shove more stuff in them!)!

Do you like those slim hangers? Right now we have all the old plastic ones from college and I really want nice new ones! Wooden ones would be ideal, but they're way more expensive and bulkier than the slim ones.

Magic towels are the best!

Oh wow, you were having one busy few days (or week) weren't you? I totally understand how tough it is having to say goodbye to friends you may not see for years, but it's great to see you guys are really going to try communicating as often as you can. And that's awesome you got to check out Dollywood with a Disney store nearby! Sounds like lots of fun and the view really is very pretty, I don't think I've seen anything like that before. to the Mickey Mouse Club cup and Ariel towel!

Wow, those space bags really do work. I can't believe you fit so much in one bag with those. You are definitely prepared for those many months in Disney. I can't believe it's only two days for you know, so exciting! I'm so excited to hear all about it while you are down there. Love the Mickey coasters by the way!

So, I wanted to throw out a quick update really fast. I am officially in Florida as I type this. We just got to Fort Lauderdale, we have a brief layover here and then it's onto Orlando!!!

Since I last updated I went through a packing break down/malfunction. While the space bags compacted everything it didn't make them weigh less. To say the least my suitcases had everything except clothes and they were full and too heavy. I cried in my living room for about 20 minutes and then decided to go out and buy boxes to ship things. When I got back I kind of blew up because I felt like everyone was standing around watching me be frustrated. My parents had felt terrible and told me "The only reason we weren't going with you is because you have Ryan and have figured everything out on your own. It seemed like you didn't need us" then I cried even more because THAT WAS NOT THE CASE. Long story short, they tried to book a flight to come with me but it was too late prices were high and seats were limited so they asked if I would be less stressed if they just drove my stuff down. I literally cried because I was so happy and grateful (if you can't tell I have been an emotional volcano these past few days)

Ryan arrived last night and we flew out this morning. After many tears and hugs we were at the airport and LITERALLY just made out flight. It was like a movie they were calling out last call just as we were arriving.

I promise to post more on our endeavor later today!!! This will be an interesting story Thanks for for the support everyone!!!​

Sorry to hear about malfunction.... but congrats on making it to Florida!! That's wonderful that your parents offered to drive your stuff down--they must really love you!! Well I hope you get settled and have a safe rest of the trip!!

-Hi! I'm Deva and I'm a Junior at Eastern Michigan University! I'm planning on applying for the DCP this Jan. and, if I get accepted, doing the Fall Advantage 2013 program!

-Transportation is such a problem for me...I'm trying to figure out what to do too. Right now, I have my own car, but I'm not sure if my car would make the two-day trip. I would much prefer to drive, because then I would have my car in Florida. I'm also thinking the train may be the way to go, just so I can take more with me. I will definitely stay across the street from Vista before I move in, so I know that will be set.

-Space bags sound like the way to go! I am getting ready to move back into my dorm room in two weeks and I am planning on using space bags. I'm going to go buy them today, and try them out. I will let you know what I think!

-That sucks that they took BBB off because of your tattoo! I feel like if you can cover it up, you should be fine!

-Here are my top three roles: Vacation Planning, Concierge, and Costuming. What do you think?

-Wow! You have some major skills! I just want to learn how to use a sewing machine! I took a home ec class in middle school, and I've completely forgotten everything I have this dream to make pillowcase dresses and custom shirts for sororities and for family's going to Disney, but I need to get a machine first!

-I seriously cannot wait to start buying stuff for my DCP apartment! Right now I'm buying stuff for my dorm, but my apartment will definitely be Disney themed! I LOVE your tangled bedding! It's so cute! I completely agree with her looking creepy as a cartoon! She just looks so real in the movies! I would've done the same thing with the comforter!

-Ooh! Can we see your Mickey stuff you bought? I love seeing shopping pics!

-I am SO SORRY Losing two people that are that incredibly close to you in such a short amount of time is horrible!

-I love the Vera backpacks for park bags! I have that I scored for really cheap at TJ Maxx a few years back and it is the perfect size for the parks!

-I've been eyeing up those bed risers forever! My dilemma is that, on move-in day at my school, my and my roommate's beds are going to be lofted. I had my bed lofted last year, and I don't want it lofted this year. So...me and Wendy (my roommate) are thinking of bunking our beds, so I'm holding off on risers. I do need some underbed bags though...

-I know what you mean! There are only two stores in my state, and I am going to the mall (an hour away) that has the Disney outlet this Sunday! I am so excited!

-I LOVE that suitcase! I need a new one insanely badly! I've been on the lookout for a cheap but big suitcase!

-That's awesome! My dorm beds are Twin XL so I'll have to buy new bedding for the DCP, but I'm okay with that It's just an excuse to buy Disney bedding!
