The Cast:

Me- SpideyHulk24/Planner and lover of all that is Universal!

DW- Let's me plan like crazy, but loves it!

DS4- Just like Daddy, loves Marvel Superheros, Dinosaurs, and Dr. Seuss!

08/07: Wet n Wild

I woke up at 8 a.m. and went to check out as we were going to Wet n Wild before going home for the day. I went and checked out and DS and DW met me in the lobby alittle after 9. The lobby was packed with check outs and I could not do express, as I was changing credit cards for final payment.

When DW and DS come out, we went outside and it was so gloomy, in the area. We got in the car and DW looked at me like "we should not waste our tickets." We decided to leave Wet and Wild for another day and went straight home. We are going to go back to WnW in a couple of weeks.

This vacation was outstanding. We are trying to plan a quick holiday trip but I want to go back sooner! We loved staying at three resorts, but I think next time, we will do just one. We never fully unpacked anywhere. In addition, we did not get any of our room amenities for loewes members. Some story, about paying "rack rate" to get the perks. Forget that! The parks were busy, but FOTL is still a charm. The 3 o clock rule did not get enforced anywhere, but on the Mummy and ET one day.

If anyone has any questions, let me know.

Hope you enjoy reading these!

Thanx for sharing Spidey.

You are so lucky to live so close to the parks.

Loved all your reports thanks for sharing Spidey sounds like u have areally great family and u never know that trip to WnW might incl a little trip to IOA I think:jester:

Spidey...thanks for all the great reports..looked forward everday to reading the next one...we have stayed at PBH 2 times...going in Nov. for a quick trip ....thinking of HR for the walking distance...did you walk the short path to universal from HR..and did you have a good room location there..thanks..amy

Thanx for the reports. Outstanding was able to re-live some of our highlights while reading yours. With Airfares from NY for 49.00 thinking about heading back for a couple of days.

Great reports! I really enjoyed reading them. Love those cabanas at HRH!!::yes::

So SpideyHulk, which of the three Universal Hotels do you like best & why. What did you think of housekeeping/general cleanliness at PBH after reading a recent thread about problems? What type of room did you stay in?

We are going to Universal, PBH for 3 nights next week and haven't been there before! Your reports indicate you are quite a frequent visitor! Do you have to call each restaurant individually for a reservation? Do you do it yourself or could the concierge do it for you? Is there a central dining reservations number like at WDW?
THANKS! :wave2: :Pinkbounc :p

Sounds like you had a great trip despite the rain. Thanks for the great reports. Just for curiousity, do you keep a notebook with you or something to provide the details.:p

Spidey, I read all your reports! Sounds like you had a great trip!

Hey, Prince Eric, I was wondering about a notebook too! But then I just thought that Spidey had a photographic memory.

LOL...You guys are too funny. Well I wanted to get back to all of you so here goes:

I do have a great memory, but DW laughs at me. Each night when we got back to the room, I did jot down the highlights of the day including meals.

For dining reservations, you can have the concierge desk at the hotel do it for you, but for me it's part of the fun. I always call in advance. If you call the parks, there is a desk at each park that will book them for you. Call 363-8000 and listen to the prompts.

I love all of the Universal resorts, but I love RPR, followed by HRH and Portofino. Of the three, PBH has the nicest looking pool, but the most boring. The rooms were great and we had fun and I would stay again, but I prefer the atmosphere of the other two resorts. We stayed in a standard room, but it was right over the pool and it had a balcony. Very nice! We only had one problem. The first day out, we got back to the room, and it wasn't clean. I called star services, went to the pool and when we got back, it was clean. We also got turndown every night, but did not ask for it. We liked it though.

From HRH, we always walked to the Studios, but took the water taxi to IOA. We love those boats, very relaxing. The path to the parks was great and very short to walk. Our room was close to the elevators and the pool. We were in 6096.
