08/01: It's Sunday and the alarm goes off at about 7:30. I jump out of bed, take a shower, and wake DW and DS up around 8:15. Why is it that on vacation it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo easy to wake up so early?????? LOL..... At about 9 a.m. we head into the club lounge that was right next to our room and grab a coffee, fruit a danish and head out to Seaworld. We had not been to Seaworld in years and were really excited about this. We added this to our trip after watching a special on the travel channel about 1 month before our trip. We arrived at Seaworld in about 10 minutes, paid the $8.00 for parking and were in the park fairly quickly. Once there, we headed to the Key west portion of the park. We saw the dolphin show, (really great), fed the sting ray, fed the dolphins, and DS got his face painted with an alligator design. Great pictures!!!! I will post them when I get them back. We then saw the Shamu show and then had a 12:30 ressie at Sharks Underwater grill. Okay, I must pause here. Many people have given this restaurant only okay reviews, but I must say it was one of my favorite meals on the trip! First and foremost the ambiance is awesome. Our table was right next to the tank. When you walk into the restaurant, one whole wall is a glass tank. There are hundreds and hundreds of sharks swimming around. Every table faces the tank. Hard to explain, but even the booths do. Very well done and very nice for a theme park. We split a coconut chicken appetizer, DW had a filet mignon with yucca cake, I had a chicken and shrimp platter and DS had pizza. It was a great meal and the service was awesome. For dessert we had the sharks brownie trio. It was awesome. It was a blondie, a brownie and pecan icecream. YUM!!!!!! The portions in this restaurant are HUGE. You can easily share. Our total with the tip was around $90.00. I would definitely do this again. After lunch, we did the shark encounter. The tunnel actually goes through the tank that we were seeing when dining. It really was fun to see it from different angles. After that we saw the fusion show. This was cute, but nothing major. Lots of dancing and jumping around....oh and really cute girls, but don't tell the wife. After the show, we went to the water front and had some drinks. This new area is really nice and themed well. Very meditteranean! After this we did some shopping. At about 6 p.m. the heavens opened up and it rained like what seemed forever. We got soaked. We decided to leave the park at this time. We missed the Oddysea show and the sealion show, but we still had fun. Now we have an excuse to go back. Since we were soaked we decided to get drive thru at Mickey D's and head back to the resort. We had dinner, showered, rented the Day after tomorrow at the resort and went to bed. Tomorrow! Universal Orlando and the Hard Rock Hotel!
