I'm curious who has the earliest ressie for HI here on the disboards? Also after you go could you post a review so the rest of us know what to expect?? My ressies are not until October. THanks in advance!!!! :cheer2:

I have 2 rooms booked for check in on Aug 19th check out on the 21st (one a king room the other is 2 doubles - both with the upgraded view) and also 5 rooms booked during Labor day weekend (mixture of 1 king & 2 doubles all with the upgrade view). I will post what I observe as upgrades/changes, stayed at the hotel several times back when they were the Courtyard & offered the $20.01 & $20.02 (& 20.03?) rates.

jcanary - so glad someone has already gotten an email from the hotel directly. now we can all patiently wait on ours since we at least know they are really emailing & honoring. YEA!!

Just got an email from the lady at the Holiday Inn - said exactly what the other poster said her's said - YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

Are there others who are still waitiing for an email? I received instant confirmation when I made the reservation, and about 5 minutes later received an email confirmation, but I haven't received anything lately. Hoping I'm not the only one?

I think the people who received an additional confirmation, requested it, am I right? I am sure you will be fine, I received the same as you. What I plan on doing is printing out the original email confirmation and taking along a copy of the press release(found on this thread) and that way if there are any questions, that should be all I need. I'm sure we'll all be okie dokey! :flower: If you are concerned, I'm sure if you call you can get one too! :sunny:

I emailed the hotel directly after trying to access my reservation online and it said "call for details." I wanted to make sure they didn't change their mind on honoring that rate. I got an email back from the contact person listed on the hotel's website saying my reservation was confirmed and will be honored at that low rate.

I too have copies of all the internet confirmations, press release and now the email from the hotel directly.

It's all good!!!!!! :flower:

I have my email confirmation, but never got an email from the hote.

I did call the main Holiday Inn Priority Club number & they say I am confirmed at $.98 a night so I am not to worried.

Does anyone know how the shuttles to the parks work from the HI or the downtown disney resorts? Do they share buses or does each hotel run their own shuttles?

I just got home from Disney, and it looks like it is still under "major" rennovation.

I'm pretty sure that all of the DTD hotels share a bus, which means it can be hard to get a seat....you could also walk to DTD and take one of the resort busses to the resorts and then catch transport to the theme parks, too

Really? Can you take a Disney Resort bus anywhere, even if your not staying onsite? Just curious?

Might not be good news for anybody with an August reservation. I e-mailed the hotel to confirm my reservation. This is the reply I received.

Please be aware that our hotel has been encountering some delays on the re-opening date due to new codes required by Disney property's local goverment. If for some reason we were delayed pass your arrival date we will find a hotel in the imediate area that will honor the rate you are currently paying.

I hope that everthing stays on schedule so that you can come and enjoy your stay with us.

I have never seen them ask any one using the resort buses for resort ID.

I think it would take twice as long to walk to downtown Disney, go to a resort and then catch another bus to a park. I have stayed at the Marriot, and at the Double Tree in downtown Disney and used their buses. Yes, it was a little crowded at times, but it was ok.

here's a link to info on the DTD Hotel busses:
http://www.downtowndisneyhotels.com/buspg.html

when we stayed here back when they were the Courtyard we never had problems with the bus being full, I believe they were the 2nd stop for pick ups. It seemed like maybe a total of 4 or 5 hotels share this bus. I think the Wyndham has its own bus or is on a different schedule.

The DTD busses are OVER THE TOP *BETTER* than the busses for ANY of the Disney's All Star resorts - I HATED the bussing for the All Stars! Over crowded & most of the time standing room only.

Oh & the DTD Hotel busses are the soft seat busses like tour busses not the hard plastic seats like Disney's city type busses.

I hope they start speeding up. It sure looks a long way from completion, as of Tuesday. They seemed to have a lot of people parked there and I assume working on it...so hopefully, it will go fast.

They told me that it might not be open for my dates August 14-17. I hope it will.

Question? I am trying to visualize the hotels downtown Disney...drawing a blank. Does anyone have a map to the hotel area of DT that I can look at to see where this hotel is located?

Hotel now not opening until October. I'm being moved to the Sheraton Safari or I can stay next year at the same rate. Somebody else posted that they'd got the Sheraton. Has anybody else been offered a different hotel?
