A Two Short, Too Different Spring Break Trip (Time to Say Goodbye)

What a great video of Brooklynn:cool1:

As for sharing your secret, I am the LAST person to complain about that:rolleyes1

I want to know what the surprise is!!!!!!!

When do we get to know?!?

When will you hear about the results of the culture on Bella's arm?

Aww Jill, I am so sorry to hear about Bella's arm! I hope it heals quickly. We too are big fans of the Cincy Zoo. Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself there.

Brooklynn looks so cute in her flower girl dress -- and so much older too!

Looking forward to some big news!!!

Oh, Jill! Brooklyn is so cute in her gorgeous dress and her great dance moves!!! How hard was it to convince her to take the dress off after the wedding?

I had to convince her to take it off twice actually. We couldn't buckle her in her carseat with it on so after the wedding and pictures we had to remove it so we could drive to the reception and then put it back on and then after the reception we had to remove it again. It was harder to convince her to stop dancing so that we could go back to the hotel and swim. When I told her it was time to go she looked at me very seriously and said "After this song is over then I can go swimming." That girl loves to dance!

I hope that Bella's arm is doing better. Does Brooklynn still call her Bellarie?
I can't wait for the surprise.

She actually calls her Bellaisarie now. Most the pieces are there just a little mixed up but absolutely adorable.

I was thinking about your surprise last night and came up with 2 theories...

1) You are staying at the WL for your NYE trip.
2) Jill and John bought DVC and you are staying a the VILLAS at WL for your NYE trip....

Am I close? :hyper:

:snooty::rolleyes::yay::love::worship::cool1: :rotfl:<---Smilies by Henry.

No hints! I love Henry's smilies.

What a great video of Brooklynn:cool1:

As for sharing your secret, I am the LAST person to complain about that:rolleyes1

If only everyone was like you and knew that sometimes secrets are totally worth it!

I want to know what the surprise is!!!!!!!

When do we get to know?!?

When will you hear about the results of the culture on Bella's arm?

We'll spill the beans this weekend probably Saturday evening. We go back to the doctor on Thursday morning for the results. He already has her on an antibiotic so hopefully it is helping to kill whatever it is.

I'm working on loading the pictures from last week. Hope to share them this afternoon or evening.

What could the surprize be? :confused3

Maybe I should tell you....I have a surprize too! You'll see very soon! ;)

How's that for a taste of your own medicine....:rotfl:

:grouphug: for baby Bella, we all hope she will be better quickly :grouphug:

Brooklynn was lovely in her flower girl dress.

To begin a mini off topic trip report within our Spring Break trip, the girls and I headed to Nashville last Monday to hang out with MeMom and go to VBS.

We headed to Johnny Rocket's for lunch after MeMom got done with school. Bella did what Bella does best

IMG_0958.jpg

Brooklynn played with the straw dispenser

IMG_0959.jpg

MeMom got a salad

IMG_0962.jpg

I got a cheeseburger and fries

IMG_0964.jpg

Brooklynn got a grilled cheese kid's meal

IMG_0963.jpg

They also bring a plate with a ketchup smiley face on it with kids meal. Can you guess what Brooklynn said when I told her to look at her smiley face?

IMG_0961.jpg

"That's not a smiley face it's Mickey!" She has been taught well.

Then we walked around the mall. Brooklynn of course had to try on shoes.

IMG_0965.jpg

Then we headed to the hippo

IMG_0967.jpg

This picture could explain why my child is still hesitant with that hippo!

IMG_0968.jpg

As we walked around the mall something caught our eye.

IMG_0971.jpg

We stopped for a treat. Brooklynn got an M&M cookie

IMG_0972.jpg

and MeMom tried to share her cookie with Bella.

IMG_0973.jpg

That night was Vacation Bible School. The theme was a rodeo. So the games were roping the horse, horseshoes, and getting the piggies back in the pen.

IMG_0985.jpg

We headed back to MeMom's to get some sleep. The girls and I hung around the house on Tuesday morning and then headed to pick up MeMom around lunch time. We went and got food and headed to the park.

Two of my favorite pictures!

IMG_1006.jpg

After the park we headed to Walmart to pick up a few things I needed for our trip to Ohio since we were leaving early Wednesday morning. Then it was time to pack the girls up and head back to Alabama. We had to finish packing before bed and we were scheduled to pick the car up Wednesday morning at 7:30.

Aw, I love that last pic of Brookie! :cutie:

She looks so cute when you guys were eating with her braids in! Hey! that is a Mickey! :thumbsup2

I fell so far behind and I'm not even in school right now!

I saw some of the pictures from the wedding on Facebook, and Brooklynn looked beautiful. Also read about the ordeal with Bella's arm :sad2: I hope that clears up soon. I'm glad you guys had a good trip. I can't believe you went to the Columbus Zoo! My family that lives out in Ohio lives near-ish to Columbus, and we went to that zoo on a trip out there years ago.

The picture of the viking ship made me kind of sad! We have a picture of Kailyn playing on it, back when you COULD play on it -- I think she was almost ten. Seeing that just reminded me of that picture. I'm guessing it was on our 2003 trip. I don't think it was dismantled when we went in February.

I will honestly tell you that I had to look for the ketchup smiley face because all I saw was a Mickey head. :rotfl2:

Hi MeMom

Thought I'd show you a few more pictures of Toby. He is 6-weeks old now and smiling loads! He's doing really really well and I am enjoying being with him so very much!

Off to catch up on your piccies now!

surprise? what surprise? what did i miss???

Nothing yet.

Hey Mom! Don't you think we should tell them about our surprise? I mean they are our friends. I know we have kept it a secret for a long time, but...

Nah you're right make 'em wait!

I hope they aren't all hyped up about something big, so they won't be disappointed.

AAAGGGGHHHH!!!! You're killing us!!!

I would never kill my DIS friends!

What's Banana-man dancing about? The secret or maybe something new Ty has done today...or both?

Please... I will be gone...

Yep, you are already gone as I write. :)

Do you think if you just popped the outside part the inside Mickey head would be free? Or are they somehow attached to each other so if you pop one, the whole balloon would be gone?

The Viking Ship's head looks kinda funny there, it looks defeated with it's tongue hanging out and no "body"!

Okay, now you've got me itchin' too on this surprise....what what what???

I try not to think about the balloon at all.

Or snowglobes.

Or caves.

He doesn't look quite as threatening just laying out on the ground, does he?

Just go get your itching powder and use it until this weekend.

Did someone say surprise????

I love the F&G pics, each time we passed a mickey gnome we went to buy it and than went "we'll come back later" well you know how that goes!

I don't know who started all this surprise business!

We do the same thing - we plan to pick something up closer to time to leave, and then we forget.

And then we see it in someone else's pictures and remember that we forgot. ;)

AWWWW!!! Brooklynn looks adorable in her dress...I love her little dance.
I hope baby Bella is doing alot better. Poor thing.

She does love to dance! I crack up just about every time, because her rhythm is sometimes (almost always) a little off. I love that little girl, and I love her even more when I see her dancing and playing and laughing and just being the essence of an innocent little child.

I hope that Bella's arm is doing better. Does Brooklynn still call her Bellarie?
I can't wait for the surprise.

I hear her say Bella Bella a lot, and now she does the Bella Isarie thing. She loves her baby!

I was thinking about your surprise last night and came up with 2 theories...

1) You are staying at the WL for your NYE trip.
2) Jill and John bought DVC and you are staying a the VILLAS at WL for your NYE trip....

Am I close? :hyper:

:snooty::rolleyes::yay::love::worship::cool1: :rotfl:<---Smilies by Henry.

If we're staying deluxe NYE, it might as well be the Polynesian, right, since that where our big party is going to be?

Jill and John almost bought DVC, but not yet. I bet John wishes he had married someone with a rich mother that could have bought them DVC!!!

Oh goodness, Heny is doing smilies now? Sniff Sniff, he is growing up FAST!

Another DISer takes his place!

Good job, Henry. I love them!

I am not holding my TR hostage -- I am making it wonderful!

I know it will be wonderful. You are giving out samples when we get to the Cobb Salad and Grapefruit Cake part, right?

What a great video of Brooklynn:cool1:

As for sharing your secret, I am the LAST person to complain about that:rolleyes1

See what you started with your little 'secrets' thing?

I want to know what the surprise is!!!!!!!

When do we get to know?!?

When will you hear about the results of the culture on Bella's arm?

Saturday, probably.

Thursday on Bella's boo-boo.

The news is kinda wild, actually.

Surprises all around! :dance3:

Yours may be bigger than ours, though, and some of you won't think it's a big deal, but we're happy about it. :goodvibes

Aw, I love that last pic of Brookie! :cutie:

She looks so cute when you guys were eating with her braids in! Hey! that is a Mickey! :thumbsup2

She will probably expect all orders of ketchup to come as Mickey heads from now on! :)

I will honestly tell you that I had to look for the ketchup smiley face because all I saw was a Mickey head. :rotfl2:

We have missed you, friend!

The word is that the ship was in much need of repair and was a danger to little kids climbing on it. I would like to see them rebuild and maybe make it specifially for playing on. Wouldn't that be kind of cool?

Hi MeMom

Thought I'd show you a few more pictures of Toby. He is 6-weeks old now and smiling loads! He's doing really really well and I am enjoying being with him so very much!

245.jpg

He's a cutie! I know you are so happy that he is finally here. It seems like it takes forever, and when they get here, you don't remember life without them.

His little koala outfit is cute!

That night was Vacation Bible School. The theme was a rodeo. So the games were roping the horse, horseshoes, and getting the piggies back in the pen.

What cute pictures - I am hoping we will (me and my DD3) make it to the hippo on Saturday to meet you guys. We are moving Friday, so will have to play it by ear.

OK enough of the secrets! Spill it or I'm sending MeMom a bunch of balloons inside of balloons as some snow globes.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

We picked up the rental car at 7:30. By the time we signed the papers and tey cleaned the car it was almost 8:30. We came home and put teh car seats in. While I fed and changed Bella and made sure Brooklynn was al ready JOhn packed the car. First stop was MeMom's house to drop Ben off. We ate lunch. I fed Bella and Brooklynn went to the potty and then we were back in the car on our way to Louisville. We arrived at the Louisville Zoo at 4:30.

IMG_1054.jpg

Brooklynn played with the big water ball while I fed Bella.

IMG_1008.jpg

We had decided not to bring the stroller in since we only had an hour and a half until the zoo closed. Brooklynn rode on John's shoulders when she wasn't running ahead to see what was next.

IMG_1011.jpg

Bella rode in her front carrier.

IMG_1050.jpg

First up was the rhinos.

IMG_1010.jpg

I have a picture of a 7 month old Brooklynn sitting in front of this very rhino.

IMG_1013.jpg

Next up were the warthogs. I really love Pumbaa, but these things are hideous!

IMG_1016.jpg

Brooklynn spotted the lions first.

IMG_1024.jpg

IMG_1023.jpg

IMG_1032.jpg

THe elephants were already in for the night but Brooklynn found one to take a picture with.

IMG_1034.jpg

We saw some monkeys

IMG_1038.jpg

And then spent a good 30 minutes hanging out with the pygmy hippo. This was Brooklynn's favorite animal when we were here when she was a baby and it remained true this trip.

IMG_1041.jpg

It was time to head to the hotel but brooklynn wasn't ready do John threw her over his shoulder and let her fly like Superman.

IMG_1052.jpg

We left the Zoo and headed to the hotel. After getting checked in and the suitcase in we headed to dinner. We ate at Cheddar's and our waiter "Adam is" (That is what Brooklynn called him after she heard me tell John "Adam is one of the better waiters we have had." When he came to take our order she said "Spaghetti and meatballs please, Adam is" It was hilarious! WE headed back to the hotel for a good night's sleep. We were headed out at 7:30 the next morning so we would have a good amount of time at the Columbus Zoo before heading on to Mansfield.

Bella is getting so big. And the video of Brooklynn watching the hippo is adorable. I love hearing her laugh.

Too funny!!! Are you thinking of signing her up for dance lessons when she is older? I can totally picture her as a ballerina!

I know it will be wonderful. You are giving out samples when we get to the Cobb Salad and Grapefruit Cake part, right?

There's a great idea, MeMom -- an interactive TR with treats for each of the updates. :goodvibes

Jill, thanks for all the great pictures of the fun you have all been having. I can't believe how big Brooklyn is getting, and she is so cute no matter what she is doing: dancing, playing on the playground, visiting with the hippo, flying like Superman.

The Louisville Zoo looks awesome! I am hoping we can get down there next summer, especially if we get a membership to the zoo again for Christmas this year.
