Toby is too cute to be a pirate....enjoy him he is a keeper! :wizard:

Now that he's here, we can start planning his first Disney trip.

DisneyJoo---Toby is adorable! Happy 1St Mothers Day!

And Happy First Mother's Day to you and your sweet little Caleb!

anna still has some circles luke drew on her dining room wall when he was little. she won't clean them or paint over them because she was so impressed with what good circles they were for his age. :rotfl:

this describes my brother to a T.

my husband still does this and he's 37 years old.

i hope you have a nice, relaxing day today since you've already technically celebrated mother's day. i hope the sun is shining where you are. :goodvibes

I know, sometimes it is hard to paint over our kids' brilliant artwork.

Every time I hear that someone has a boy, I want to warn them about the medical bills yet to come, but I don't. I just let them enjoy the calm before the storm! :rotfl:

The sun has been shining off and on all day.

Today is not that day, however. :)

Happy Mother's Day to you too!:flower3:

The pictures of the girls are precious! The food, very yummy! All the girls together............priceless!:goodvibes

Jill insisted on a picture. She said I might die and leave the girls with no remembrance of their MeMom except heaping tables of food.

i love this picture! so cute.

The actual pictures look really good. I love them!

I am going to make it around to some other reports tonight, but right now I am typing one-handed as I try to get Bella to sleep. She is so sleepy, but her stomach is giving her such fits that she can't get comfortable. She grunts and squirms and draws up her little legs and just can't into a deep sleep. Jill is going to call the doctor tomorrow to try to get something to soothe her. I feel so sorry for her. Every time she gets relaxed, her eyes roll around and she falls asleep, but it doesn't last long.

We had a nice lunch. Since ohana means family, we thought that would be an appropriate theme for our meal. Nobody got left behind when it was time to fill plates up. As planned, I have plenty of leftovers, so I should be able to get out of cooking Monday and Tuesday nights. It's always a good feeling at the end of a school day to know that I don't have to come home and make a big mess in the kitchen. We just fill a plate, put it in the microwave, and in mere minutes, it's done with very few dishes to wash.

The girls are SO cute! Happy Mother's Day to Jill and Memom!!! The Ohana lunch looks like a lot of fun - and a lot of good food! The picture of the four of you is SO sweet and you all look so happy to be together (I guess we'll pretend Bella is screaming with joy and excitement). Have a happy day!

Lovely picture of the Ladies. Great to see.

We had a grea brunch MeMom. A good time with family and friends and then the three of us took in a movie.

What a lovely sentiment about being a Mother, I was a little teary relating to it.
You always have a beautiful way of expressing things, you should work for Halmark. ;)

Awww, the pics of Brooklynn and Bella are adorable. I love the sweet little one with Bella asleep on Brooklynn. Just the cutest girls!
What a lovely gift.

Your O'Hana lunch sounds so good! I havn't had cocconut pie in forever, Yummy!
I love the decorations, little Tiki watching over the food and the palm in the background. ;)

I wish I thought of that idea.

Thanks for coming out of the shadows today and giving us a pic of all the girls together. Very nice, you sure do look alike.

My Mothers Day has been great! I got a handmade card with clay figures & hearts on it. It even had a clay lock to hold it closed. Very special, I love it.
I got a new fushia pink handbag, so pretty! It was full of Disney board game dollars as a joke.
My son managed to stroll in at about 10am for brunch and said "Happy Mothers Day"...I'm happy he remembered.

We had a nice brunch. Blueberry pancakes, bacon, pan fried potatoes w/fresh chives, fruit and guava juice. Yumm!

I got my DMom the coolest strawberry plant in a hanging basket. It already has lots of flowers and berries started. And some gardening books, tools, garden decorations for her pond.

We didn't venture out to the Tulip Festival, it was damp and cold. The weather didn't co operate today. :sad2:

I spent some time this afternoon trying to figure out which ADR's to do when...it was a lot of fun.
I think I have it figured out.

Diner has arrived....we are cheating....no healthy stuff today....no cooking....pizza, wings (honey garlic), ceasar salad, pop and cake. Fabulous!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Oh I forgot to say, we are eating on my new disney plates!!!! :yay::yay::yay:

I'm glad we are friends too.

From tiny onesies to graduation gowns, kids fill our lives with so many things great and small. The greatest is love. I am so unworthy to have ever experienced the love I have felt for and received from my kids, but I am eternally grateful to God for the blessing me and letting me experience it anyway!

MeMom, you always have the most beautiful sentiment! Even those of us who aren't your kids know what an amazing Mom and MeMom you are and you are worthy of every once of love!!

What a looker!! thanks for sharing and happy first Mothers Day!

LOVE this picture!!

And brace yourself folks as a special treat ...

Aww!!! I love my final Mother's Day gift - pic of MeMom and her girls.

Those pics for MeMom came out awesome Jill! Are those from Sears?

Happy Mother's Day to all the readers out there. Remember, you provide the magic to your family each day by being the wonderful mothers, grandmothers, and godmothers you are.

Love the picture of Brooklyn and Bella on the rose petals! Did you tear up when you saw the pictures, MeMom?

Adore the picture of all four of you! You all look fabulous!

What a yummy lunch! You all always have such great Disney themed meals!

Happy Mother's Day Memom and Jill :flower3: I am a new reader to your trip reports. I have finished the first one Baby and a Tramp and am half way thru the 10 Day Ride on a Magic camel. I am just loving your trip reports. The Mother's Day pics of the girls are just adorable and I really liked the one of the 4 of you.

Happy Mother's Day Jill and Memom,

Memom, I loved what you wrote about being a mom I sure do identify. It was beautiful.

Jill, how special for you to be blessed twice on this mother's day with 2 precious little girls. It was so great that you could spend the day with your mom on such a wonderful day, I wish I could of shared this day with my mom but she lives too far away.
You are truly blessed, enjoy your day

Love the pictures of the girls, they are so sweet.Bella is getting bigger you can tell in the pics. Glad to have a MeMom picture, that is true what Jill said!

Hope you had a fantastic Mother's Day!

Just being Mom and MeMom makes it great already!

Don't worry. I've seen worse. I know those aren't things you want to be his highlights of the year, but I'm sure he's had a lot more shining moments than he has had lapses in judgement like those.

The cat doesn't like a bath, but he succumbs to it. When I've got him in the bathroom with the door shut, he knows what is coming and starts meowing in protest. Once I get him under the running water, though, he is still. He let's me shampoo and scrub and rinse. I try to do it pretty quickly. When it's over, she shakes off the water and licks at himself for hours, as if to let me know he could have taken care of things in his own way! I just think he needs the no flea shampoo every so often, just to be sure we don't ever allow fleas to get started.

I will second that happy thought! :)

I'm putting it on a list - Mall of America and TCKK's zoo. If we ever go anywhere except south straight to Lake Buena Vista, you may find us knocking at your door. Brooklynn loves zoos, and we all love malls! ;)

My kids thought it would be funny to buy the economy pack of airplane level earplugs, and they were sure to let me know about it!

***********************************

Today is a special day set aside to celebrate mothers. In recognition of that, I thought I'd throw out some thoughts that some of you other moms might be able to relate to.

Our kids bring so many different things to our lives.

Like spitting up on their clothes in the car on the way to church.
And then smiling about it.

The excitement of feeling the first tooth.
The cost of having teeth fixed.

Toys on the floor, writing on the walls, gnarled up toothpaste tubes, and empty drink boxes under the bed.

Bruises, broken bones, stitches, knocked-out teeth, and a variety of boo-boos from tiny scrapes to nearly life ending accidents.

Stick figure pictures in which the cats, dogs, camels, and elephants all look pretty much alike. The snakes do usually manage to be recognizable.

Matchbox cars lined up in a row ready for a race.

A lovingly handcrafted birthday banner.

Flowers on the first day of school.

Water left in the tub.
Refrigerator doors left open.
The television playing too loudly...
to no one in the room.

Countless hours of rebounding basketballs in an empty gym.

The inability to ever find a hammer when you need one.
Finding three hammers when you are looking for a screwdriver instead.

Pretty dresses on banquet nights.

Calls from girls.

Saying a prayer for the safety of a vehicle pulling out of the driveway that is manned by a teenage boy.
Saying the same prayer for the vehicle that is pulling out of the driveway, driven by a teenage boy that doesn't belong to you but is carrying your daughter in the passenger seat.

Chills and smiles when their names are announced for a variety of awards in academics and in sports.

Tears when they have stepped on your heart and hurt you.
Tears when they have done something that has hurt their own hearts.

From tiny onesies to graduation gowns, kids fill our lives with so many things great and small. The greatest is love. I am so unworthy to have ever experienced the love I have felt for and received from my kids, but I am eternally grateful to God for blessing me and letting me experience it anyway!

Moms, have a great day with your family and friends! In our family, we just like to honor all women and girls on Mother's Day. We'd like to thank all of you for the friendships you give to us here on these boards. We feel very privileged to know you.

Especially to the new moms: Have the happiest Mother's Day ever, and a lifetime of greater ones ahead!

MeMom you write the nicest things!! It was so beautiful :lovestruc:lovestruc

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!!:lovestruc

He is PRECIOUS!!!! :goodvibes

Every time I hear that someone has a boy, I want to warn them about the medical bills yet to come, but I don't. I just let them enjoy the calm before the storm! :rotfl:

Nice to know.....I can only imagine there are many pro's and con's to both.....so maybe if you can wrap them in bubble wrap they would be easier?? ;)

From tiny onesies to graduation gowns, kids fill our lives with so many things great and small. The greatest is love. I am so unworthy to have ever experienced the love I have felt for and received from my kids, but I am eternally grateful to God for blessing me and letting me experience it anyway!

...that was SO sweet. I don't even have any kiddo's but that got me teary eyed and made me imagine many wonderful things :goodvibes

I got to celebrate today with Matt's mom. It was lots of fun! My mom is out of town and we did mother's day with my side of the family last weekend

I hope you and Jill had a WONDERFUL Mothers day!!! And the picture of the 4 of you guys is precious! I loved seeing it!! :goodvibes

You oughta be able to have a rockin' awesome pretend Disney trip then!!! ;)
I'm going to make it to the Mall of America someday.

...giving the cat a bath...

Memom I bet you would be able to drive to Mall of America and not have to stay at a single hotel. You could stay with Disers the whole trip. I would love to have you and yours at my home. I would take you to our zoo, we have one of the best in America. http://www.omahazoo.com/ I am sure Brooklynn would love it. Lexi does.

I agree!! You can always stay at our house, just an hour away from the Mall of America.

And speaking of "mini-Disney trip" we kinda did that today at the Mall of America! We hit up the amusement park for one ride for Henry-big trucks that go in a circle. He LOVED it. And of course we hit the Disney store up. Thankfully we had a gift card so we didn't spend too much out of pocket. We heard the "bus/monorail voice" guy do an announcment and both Joe and I looked at each other wistfully. We were back for just a moment as we paused and listed. :cloud9:

And MeMom, bathing the cat?!!? Whoa. You are a brave woman.
I read you note on how you bathe the cat. I'm amazed. You have a very nice cat!

I am going to make it around to some other reports tonight, but right now I am typing one-handed as I try to get Bella to sleep. She is so sleepy, but her stomach is giving her such fits that she can't get comfortable. She grunts and squirms and draws up her little legs and just can't into a deep sleep. I love the pictures of the girls, and the family shot! I do pray that Bella starts to feel better soon. Poor thing. It's so hard when they are little and they don't understand why they don't feel good. :guilty:

And I'm with ya on the leftovers. THAT is the best kind of Mothers Day gift! It stretches all the way into the coming week. :thumbsup2
