Oh cool.

That'd be an interesting job to have!
I would love to work in Animal Kingdom, and right there at Conservation Station would be the perfect place for me.
I know it!

<--- my mixed bag of emotions about him getting big.

He does look older and older as we creep toward that 2 year mark...
I was thinking the humor of poo might escape him yet too. BUT, the petting zoo sounds just perfect. Plus, seeing the animals closer will be right up his alley!
I read kschafer's story...

love it! So cute.
Sometimes Brooklynn touches, and sometimes she just looks. I think he'll really like seeing the huge gorillas, because they are often right up at the glass.
Hey everyone! Just wanted you all to know that I got my Mickey Monitor in the mail today with my annual passholder savings cards. You have to have the card and go to the main ticket window between May 1 and July 31. Each card gives you 10% off the purchase of up to 6 annual passes. If anyone is interested please let me know, I would hate for them to just go to waste. We will be using 1 for Trent, Jarvis, and MeMom but that leaves us with a total of 7 savings passes left (John got 4 and I got 4). If you know of anybody that would like to take advantage of these please let me know so I can mail them to you.
Just a sweet girl you are! You must have had a right proper raising!
I am so waiting for my Mickey Monitor to arrive...........
Maybe it'll show up today and you can spread the magic, too!
I've only been a passholder since January...so far I haven't gotten a Mickey Monitor at all--are they just a seasonal magazine? I sure hope I have one headed my way!
Call and check with someone. Mickey mail is always fun!
Jill- I am so sorry to hear about your bad day. I am glad you made it through. Moms surely do have a hard job sometimes. Of course, it is SO worth it. I love the pictures of your girls. Brooklynn really knows how to smile for a camera. The pictures of you, Memom, and the girls is great as well.
Memom- I enjoyed your thoughts about mothers. They were so sweet and true. It is incredible that you got to see a tiger getting a check-up. I think tigers are beautiful. They are my favorite animal at the zoo. We saw "our" tigers at the zoo yesterday as a matter of fact.
Glad you enjoyed the thoughts. Just random stuff from the heart.
Do you have a pretty good zoo?
One day, I would like to go to the San Diego Zoo. I don't care a thing about going to California ever, except that I would like to visit
Disneyland once and take a trip to the San Diego Zoo. I doubt either of those will ever happen, though.
***************************
So today was the big day...
the day we read
V is for Volunteer and learn
'The Ballad of Davy Crockett'.
I read the book and we talked about all the things that represent Tennessee, then I called out each letter and asked them to remember what it stood for in the book.
They got a good portion of it right, but there were a few interesting answers, such as:
G is for Taylor Swift. It really stood for Grand Old Opry, but one of the girls had seen Taylor Swift on the Grand Old Opry recently, so that's what she called out.
C was for chugging. In reality, it was clogging, but with a hillbilly family, I guess chugging is something they're familiar with.
O was for oppotamum, which I suppose is a cross between an opossum and a hippopotamus. We do have dead possums on the sides of our roads here, but not many dead hippos have I seen.
W was for William Wilhelm. In real life, that would be Wilma Rudolph, Olympic gold medalist.
If I think of others, I'll probably share, just in case you are wondering about the quality of education our kids are getting.
And not to disappoint,
'seeing your duty clear' still brought snickers all five times we played it.
