A Trip of Firsts! Sept 2011 PTR *UPDATE* 8/30 The Train is WHAT?!

The Auto Train will be up and running tomorrow! Huzzah! Rejoice and make merriment! Makes me really happy we have a bedroom because I'm willing to bet the train will be full after 2 days of cancellation. Packing is in full swing and now I have to attack house work so the house/dog sitter doesnt end up buried in trash/clutter/stuff.

Ooh--this report has so many of my favorite things: Septembers at Disney, trains, and little boys!

I love the train, and I always get jealous reading about the auto train...but I don't think I could justify driving 10 hours or so north to take a train instead of just driving 8 hours south to Disney

Yes, driving farther north to go south isn't quite the way to go about that . This is our first train ride but I'd rather take the train and not worry about stops for gas, food, bathroom breaks, and speeding tickets! We can all sleep on the train too! I hope that goes well. There may be a fight over who gets to sleep where... not sure how to handle that. Guess I'll deal with it when we get there.
