Tues afternoon, June 5
We arrived at PoP Century around 3:00 pm and good memories return of our fantastic trip in 2005. Our rooms were ready and we receive the magic cards granting us access to the World! Our rooms are situated in building 6, the Mickey phone. I have the corner room, second floor, right at the PopJet pool.
The AC is running just fine and the room is everything I need for this trip.
After stowing the carry-on bags we take the bus to the Magic Kingdom for this the last day for the Haunted Mansion to be open. By now it is 4:30 and hunger drives us to Pecos Bill’s for cheeseburgers. At last, we head for the Mansion and the sign says a 40 minutes wait, no problem. It is more like 25 minutes and we get our mansion fix taken care of.
Many attractions are new to Scott, so we head for Big Thunder and ride it. I should mention that the crowds, while medium-heavy, are manageable and we have no problems getting around.
We next ride Pirates, another family favorite. The movie curtain at the start is very well done.
I think it is time to get our name badges as last trip it was the second to last day before we got them. We go the Emporium, where we purchased them in 2005. The CMs are confused about what a name badge is. This is déjà vu all over again just like the last trip. I shake my head as leave the MK for our resort.
This resort is so awesome at night!!!!
The kids want to drive their new car, so they take off while I take pictures around the resort. I decide to head over to EPCOT and collect some pressed pennies. I visit Mexico and Norway, collecting three pennies in each country. Iluminations is starting, but I want to watch it with Alison and Scott, so I head back to the resort and go to bed around 10:30.
