I am very sorry for your loss. That was very touching and it made me miss the moments I never had with my grandfathers. One passed before I was born and I lost my "Pop-Pop" when I was 6. Just remember the good times and stories he passed on. It sounds like there were many.

Yes, my grandfather was a gentle, kind, and loving man. We had a special bond that developed over these last 10 years. I grew to appreciate and love him more with each passing year.

When he smiled, he smiled with his whole face. It was so beautiful. The memories of our time together mean everything to me.

Again, thank you for taking the time to extend your thoughts, prayers, and well-wishes for a total stranger. I am touched.

Wendy, I cried when I read this. I lost my Grandpa 2 weeks ago and it was very difficult. He was so kind and gentle and loving like it sounds like your grandpa was. Aren't they special? I consider myself very fortunate to have had him in my life for 38 years and that he won't just be a name to my children--they were very close to him. You moved me to tears. A beautiful tribute--print it off and keep it.

That is just beautiful. I am so sorry about your grandfather. My Grandpa died three years ago, at the age of 93, and I still miss him terribly.
