Hi all! I have a tough question for you. Sara and I have a Land Sea Cruise package that starts Jan. 1 2004 but who wouldn't show up a day early for new years! We are trying to find a hotel for the one night prior to our package since extending that would be really expensive. Please give any suggestions that fit the following criteria as closely as possible.
Thanks!

1) In or really close to DTD.
2)Nice but not expensive. (Just no cockroaches or anything)
3) about 50-80 dollars per person (100-180 total for 2 people)
4) I really dislike the idea of priceline so please don't suggest that.
5)check in is Dec. 31 2003 and out Jan 1. 2004

Thanks again!

I would probably recommend that you bite the bullet and book the Polynesian for the extra night. I would not recommend being off-site for NYE since the parks close to off-site visitors early. You may be denied access if you arrive too late :(. The Polynesian is the perfect place to be for NYE. Perhaps you can get a room only reservation and then have it connected with your package.

Why not go with Port Orleans? The price would be about right, you'd be gauranteed admission, it's very convenient to DTD, and it is certainly a nice resort.

Why not check out Mousesavers.com. One of the preferred hotels is Royal Plaza and it is in DTD. Great rates right now, but I don't know what New Year's eve would cost you. Certainly cheaper then staying at the Poly.
