A Ton! Of reservations just opened up Nov-Dec!

We're hoping for the 26th of Dec. We had the 28th, but I cancelled that one once the 26th became available.

I have an extra one for three people on the 25th.

In addition to losing Topolinos, Beaches and Cream and BOG I made at 60 days for the 5 of us, I lost my special mother-daughter CRT for my 6 year old’s first trip that was going to be just the two of us. I had planned on doing our own little BBB in our room and surprise her with a new dress, then eat at the castle as a special treat since she is already not experiencing Disney at its fullest like my older kids did at her age on our only other trip back in 2014. We are not a Disney vacation family because my husband hates crowds and doesn’t love Disney like I do, so we probably won’t be back until she is a teenager. I have been so upset about her not getting the full Disney experience but have been unable to cancel our trip because we are stuck in a DVC rental agreement. Plus DH wanted to go ahead and go with the lower crowds. Hopefully some pixie dust will come my way and I can at least get another CRT reservation before our trip.

I have lots of dining alerts set up and I’m going to keep checking religiously for openings but I feel like after this debacle, people are going to hoard multiple times/reservations if they can get them and wait until the day before to cancel what they don’t want.

I’ve had more luck today by searching for a party of 3-4 vs. our small party of 2. Interesting how many more choices I had when I did that so if anyone else is a small party, try that!

Thank you so much for this suggestion! I set up a dining alert for 3 for CRT instead of 2 and was able to get a 6:50pm reservation for Dec 2 last night! Should I call and ask if they can change that to 2 this far in advance or will they tell me that would essentially cancel my ADR for 3 and that there is no availability for an ADR for just 2? Should I just keep it for 3 until I check in with only 2? Will they refund that 3rd person at CRT since I have to pay in advance?

Keep it for 3 people. Tell them the day of that there are only 2 of you. You don’t get charged if anyone shows up to claim it. People get sick, go home early for family emergencies, etc all the time. They don’t care. I personally haven’t done it for CRT, but I’ve never had an issue when our party size changed. We’ve traveled with a big group of a few families before, and they never cared if a person here or there wasn’t there. 2 people taking up a table for 4 isn’t all that unusual even at WDW. I was a hostess in HS.

Did you just check for the first time in a few days? Maybe refresh the app and hope it’s a glitch. Their app is pretty glitchy.

Keep it for 3 people. Tell them the day of that there are only 2 of you. You don’t get charged if anyone shows up to claim it. People get sick, go home early for family emergencies, etc all the time. They don’t care. I personally haven’t done it for CRT, but I’ve never had an issue when our party size changed. Be careful for Cinderella’s Royal table. It is completely pre-pay the full amount. I’m not sure if you’ll lose money if you cancel somebody last minute. You should definitely call and check.

I will again point out I’ve never done it for CRT. The pre-paying may make it different. Maybe ask on one of the big dining general threads or check there to see what people say if you’re trying to avoid calling right now.

Coming back again to echo the change of a 2 party to 3, what a difference! Since yesterday I've found a Garden Grill and a Sci-FI reservation for our trip next week. Now we just need that Hollywood & Vine replacement, fingers crossed!

ETA: I'll also add that the only finder that notified me of my Sci-Fi was ************... Touring Plans and Mouse Dining didn't notify me at all and I had them all set to look for Sci-Fi.

I would still call to check. Also, weigh whether or not it’s worth the extra money to keep it at 3ppl and pay for a ghost. I don’t want to jump to conclusions for you. I honestly haven’t eaten there in a few years, so I didn’t even remember that we prepaid.

I went ahead and paid the five dollars for a CRT… Still holding out hope for one this Friday dinner. And, of course I still keep checking like a crazy person… LOL

I was able to get a Beaches and Cream reservation through TP early this morning. So happy since this was one of the ADRs I lost as a result of the “Great Glitch”

It’s strange I never got a cancellation notice or anything. The reservations just disappeared. They called today to tell me they were giving me gift cards but I don’t have them (even in junk mail). They asked if the email they have is correct, yes, it hasn’t changed since we joined the Disney family.

That is strange. Where were the reservations, and were they reservations within the next few days? I know there is some kind of issue with Via Napoli.

They were reservations between Christmas and New Year’s. I added some on Tuesday when *********** alerted me, then when I looked today they were gone. I thought maybe Disney would keep them in case they opened up more dining for those days. That might be a better alternative than gift cards. Who knows what will happen between now and then?! I never made a reservation at 60 days because I assumed I could use my Landry’s card, but that doesn’t appear to be the case anymore with limited capacity.
