A Ton! Of reservations just opened up Nov-Dec!

Not whacky. The system has always done this.

It seems to have been especially worse since the re-opening after Covid. This is our second covid trip, and every time I read about ADRs, people say that they found 3 or 4+ easier than 2. I think they removed 2 top tables to be able to put more people into the restaurants. I think 4 top tables don't really take up more space with social distancing than the 2 tops and allow more people.

But by moving it that 5 minutes, you gave up your original (safe) reservation. So by moving it to a glitch reservation, someone else took your original (which then also got cancelled since it was booked by them during the glitch). Your original most likely would have been available again once they released the ADRs again, but was probably scooped up by one of the thousands of people impacted by this.
Yeah, I get it - and I ask myself why those 5 minutes were so important anyway...

BUT, on flip side, I got $50 in free gift cards and I've set out a new dining plan for MK - our first day instead of LTT at dinner we're doing lunch which will work out since we'll have time to walk off all that food (even though when DH and I went a few weeks ago we asked for a large bowl of salad and ate that and the meats and then split a ooey-gooey instead of one each)...

and on our last night I just got (today!!) BOG for dinner and we haven't been there for a while so that will be a nice change....

but I'm also open for Skipper's as we ate there a few weeks ago and that was yummy!!

OH....and I did get back one of my ADRs that they cancelled - a 7:30 @ Trattoria for our HS so the gift card was a bonus!

When you check in using the app, you’ll indicate how many are actually there and can just put 2 at that time. As long as 1 person shows up, they don’t charge for missing members of your party.
Correct! We were there a few weeks ago, and for some of our ADRs I somehow managed to book party of 3 instead of 2 and when we checked in via the App we just changed it and it was fine!

TOTALLY AGREE!!

DH and I had trouble getting ADRs for 2 but it was easier for 3 and 4 - and when we did get an ADR for 2, we were still sat at a 4 top table.....

Does anyone know if dining reservations are restricted to guests staying on site at this time? I’m very upset about my cancellations that may lead to me canceling the trip. I had Cali Grill for Christmas Eve, CRT for Christmas Day, and some other good ones that I doubt I’ll get to rebook. BTW, will they refund me for CRT? If reservations are messed up or glitched I feel that onsite guests should have first priority.

Well, I'm a ticket only guest that was able to make reservations (but I'll be booking my room at Pop this coming week), but I haven't heard anything about resort guests getting first priority post-glitch. From what others have said, you should get refunded for CRT, but when in doubt, I'd call for clarification.

They are not restricted to guests staying on site. Anyone can book dining at the 60 day mark. On site guests get the additional 10 days though past the 60 day mark to make length of stay reservations.

You should receive a gift card for each cancelled reservation, and I would also assume they will refund any deposit you placed for Cinderella.

Please report back tomorrow 😊

I didn’t hear back from the cast member yet (he did tell me it might take a day or two to try to get my H&V back, if at all) but I also asked if he could try and get my Beaches and Cream one too. It reappeared in my account today so yay! I’ll post if he does call me back. But seems like pushing for a manager yesterday did wonders. And being extra, extra nice to them didn’t hurt. More flies with sugar and all that.

Someone on this thread suggested Mouse Watcher and I second that. I had three different alerts on Sci-Fi and ************ was the only one to alert me!

I got a time for 7:55PM. The park closes at 7Pm- any idea how that works? I didn’t know they were doing any dining past close.

I was very polite when I spoke to the two cast members yesterday and the two cast members night before. I had the original reservation numbers and the cancellation numbers. Yesterday was my birthday and I did not hesitate to work that into the conversation. They were unable to help in any way except to tell me how sorry they were. Total time on hold was over 7 hours. No tables available for our cancelled reservation, and no priority waiting list for the restaurant that we wanted.
You were very lucky to regain your reservations.

I think all the CMs do what they can - and us being kind definitely helps! Probably depends on where your reservations was and what is popping up when you are on the phone. The CM I talked to was very nice and searched for CRT all day of the day I'm there while we were on the phone to no avail. She also offered to look at different days (ours is a short trip, so not for us).

I'm so happy for those who have been able to re-establish their ADRs or get new ones. Fingers crossed for those of us still searching!

Is Mouse Watcher paid now? Years ago, I thought it was free (I remember using Touring Plans and one other for free back then).

We just got one reservation back (he did say Beaches & Cream would be easier than the others) and no word on Hollywood & Vine just yet. Fingers crossed! I talked to a manager for all this and once I got transferred to him seemed like I had much more options on what could be done.

It was $5 to set an alert for Sci-Fi for two days for both lunch/dinner.

The price that came up for Topolino's was $11 for the one day, and $12 for the next date that we were trying for? I just typed in the dates and those were the prices that came up.

We're hoping for the 26th of Dec. We had the 28th, but I cancelled that one once the 26th became available.

The price goes up the further out your dates are. We leave Friday so that’s why the price was only $5. Just have a few days to scramble new reservations. 🤪
