A Toe-tally weird thing happened to me!

Ok, I kinda feel like the "I lowered my cholesterol!" guy on the Cheerios commercial, but this just cracked me up....I even called my best friend on the phone right after it happened. Yeah, lots of excitement in my life!

So, I was getting into bed last night, took off my socks, went to scratch my foot and............ the toenail on my pinkie toe fell off! I mean, COMPLETELY off, as in, there is no more toenail there! Didn't hurt, it wasn't discolored, looked just like all the other toenails....except it was lying on the floor and not attached to my toe! I half-expected to wake up this morning and find a bed full of toenails, but as far as I can tell, all the rest of them are securely, uh, fastened! Weird, huh?

What about you? Got any toe-tally weird tales or amazing feets to speak of?

No stories like that, but I've never heard of that happening for no apparent reason. I hope your toe is okay.

I only wish my bad toe nails would fall off. That way they could grow back normal.

The only time this happened to me was after an injury. It did grow back. Hope yours grows back in for you.

Phil, I'm kinda thinking this is the end result of several toe-stubbings over the last few months, although it's been several weeks since I whacked it. But there was no bruising or discoloration that would indicate the nail had been injured.

Ella, Its mostly skin, although at the base (where my nail had been) its a harder ridge...but much softer than an actual toenail. Hopefully it will develop into a real nail!

Hmmm...I wonder if they'll charge me 10% less now to get a pedicure?
