a timing question for december

just got back in august but have decided to go down for a week to see the x-mas decorations, should we go Dec 6th to the 13th or will it still be slow the 13th to the 20th. we prefer the 13th to the 20th but are afraid it will start to fill up that week although some folks i know say it will be after that

We went last year from the 14th to the 19th, and it was great! MK was crowded on the Saturday we arrived but during the week it was no problem and the other parks were not crowded at all. From what I understand things start to get busy the weekend before Christmas, so I would say that it would start to get crowded this year from the 19th or the 20th. If you stay away from the MK on the the 20th you should not have any problems

Bacause that's Pop Warner/Cheerleading competition. If you're planning on staying at any All Stars and some moderates, that's where they'll be. Just letting you know!!!

thanks for the cheerleading info. does anyone know exact dates for this? wont matter much, how many of the peppy little ones could there be

We noticed them mostly in the food courts in the morning - place was PACKED (ended up eating at the parks) and some in rooms around us that kept us up late - don't know where the chaperones were!!!

We've been there several times when the Pop Warner kids were there. Unless you happen to be staying at one of the All Stars, you really won't be impacted at all. (Sometimes, they also stay at one or more of the moderates, too).

We never noticed them in the parks at all.

one year we were there the Sat (I think since we usually left on Sun.) before Christmas and it was so busy we felt it was a waste of time to stay .it went from walking straight on every ride to wait wait wait. it was like huge masses of people appeared over night! don't remember the date but it probably would have been the last day of "value" season

It looks like we are getting out just in the nick of time... we leave on the 20th!!!!
