A Ticket Question

I checked the "Ticket Thread" on here, but I just wanted to make sure/clarify. We would like to buy tickets when we get to our hotel at check-in. Could we ask for the tickets to be separate from our KTTW card?

Thank you!

When you have a room only reservation, the tickets you buy are a separate transaction and are on separate cards from your room keys.

Practically all resort packages include tickets and those tickets come on your room key.

The biggest issue is that the ticket you get at the hotel may look like a KTTW card without the name & dates. That's what I got when I removed a ticket from a KTTW card about 2 years ago. The hotel didn't have regular ticket stock.

I was just there last month and I only bought a one day ticket.

I quickly realized that 3 days is way to many to spend at Universal , so I needed to add another day to my Disney tickets.

Before I went into the park, I went to add another day and they had to do print out new separate tickets to make them 2 day tickets because they couldn't add them to my KTTW card because it was a separate transaction or something.

Long story short, I think you should just buy them at the park and you will have the separte tickets. They're paper though, not cards.

When I upgraded an ordinary ticket (not on a room key) they printed a new card rather than re-use the original card.

If you buy your tickets at the resort, they can put them on your KTTW cards, or on separate cards, regardless of whether or not you're on a package. Make sure to specify to the Lobby Concierge cast member that you would like the tickets to be on a separate card. (However, if you want the tickets to be on separate cards, you will have to pay with cash or a credit card. There will be no way to charge them back to your room.)

Ok - thank you!!!!!
We were planning on using cash anyways for the tickets. But so the tickets would look like KTTW cards or the regular park ticket cards? I wonder if we would be better off buying the tickets from the park instead...

Any tickets purchased at a resort concierge desk will be on plastic card media, the same media they use for KTTW cards, but instead of having the dates of your stay printed on, it will have the ticket information. The resorts don't have printers that can print on the tyvek ("cardboard") ticket stock that the theme park ticket windows and Guest Relations use

I would buy them at DTD or at the parks. Then you'll get the character designs and you won't try entering the parks with your room key or opening your room door with your park tickets!
