Hi all, I am trying to figure out what is the best practice for my shorty. We are a family of 4 with our kids being 10 and 7 at the time of our planned trip (early June 17). Our 10 year old will have no height requirement issues but our 7 year old will at 48".

We have the regular express pass. On the taller rides, is it permissible to use our express pass for one parent to ride with our 10 year old, then use the 7 year old's pass for the 10 year old to ride it again with the other parent? Or, ride it as the first pair and get a rider switch pass for the 10 year old to ride it again with the other parent?

I am probably not explaining this in the best way. I am 95% sure that the tickets are assigned to a specific person and not sure if what I am thinking about is completely kosher. Can anyone help with some tips for this situation?

Thanks!

Without getting into the ethics of it, the express passes do have your picture on them ...

... a black and white picture that is basically an indistinguishable blob, at least from the hotel photo kiosk. Do with this info what you will. :)

Just do child swap. It's very easy to use at USO. Basically, 1 parent 10 yr old ride. When they get off the ride they go to the child swap area which is next to where the would get off the ride. Swap parents and the other parent plus 10 yr old ride almost immediately. Everyone goes through the que and then right before getting on the initial ride, the non riders go into the child swap area.

Yes - what you should expect is for everyone (all 4 of you) to go through the express pass line. At the point of boarding, one parent with too short child will go to the Child Swap area while the other parent and tall enough child ride.

once parent 1 and tall enough child unboard, they will goto the child swap rom, and parent 2 and tall enough child will go directly to the boarding area and ride.

Friends of ours with young kids raved to me about the child swap at Universal compared to anywhere else. We've obviously never used it, but it seems to get good reports.

OP.......definitely the way to go.
