Such a beautiful story...So glad thad VM shared it with us. I too have been following this story, and I'm in tears reading the conclusion.
I understand how Chris feels about people being rude and crude with remarks, and comments. I have had my share.
I wish the whole world could be like Disney...live, love..laugh, and enjoy. Until then we always have these boards.

I have been mostly a lurker on the DIS since 1999. I can honestly say that no other story has affected me as much as this one. This is the place where I come to brighten my day, and just following this story has reestablished my faith in humanity. I hope that one day, my family and I am privelaged enough to meet Nate, his family, and Andy. These people are what makes human beings truly special. This is "an act of random kindness" personified.

Our thoughts are with you all, what special people you all are.

Andy, when you posted the first few pics from the Page family's cruise, many were drawn to the pic of Nate on CC. I remember more than one person saying they thought their favorite picture would be of Nate on his verandah but instead they loved the pic of him relaxing on CC. Even before we had read the "rest of the story" we loved that picture. Could you paste it to the end of the post?

This was the first thing I read after getting up this morning. We have been going through some stressful times, but this letter had us both in tears, thanking God for so many blessings.

Thank you, Andy, for sharing this letter, and for being the wonderful person you are.

Chris, thank you so much for bringing us all into your family. You, Eric, and the boys are incredible people. You have written several times that you feel you are not a good writer and are afraid of not getting your meaning across, but I think your writing is beautiful and heartfelt. Believe me, your meaning comes across loud and clear, and all of our tears prove it.

Ignorant people will say stupid things, but I hope all the love for Nate and your family that has come through this forum can help make up for the callousness you've experienced in the past.

Nate may be a little guy, but he is amazingly powerful, touching so many lives and channeling so much love. May God continue to bless you all.

Andy and Chris thanks so much for sharing this with us. Like many other posters, I am wiping the tears out of my eyes right now.

I have just recently started reading some of the posts regarding the Page family and I find them very inspiring. Chris you have a beautiful family and reading your trip report was wonderful and uplifting. It was so exciting to read about Nate's expressions and to see your whole family in the many pictures. This is one story I will keep with me for years to come and everytime I visit CC I will think of Nate enjoying the sun on the beach.

Hard to see the keyboard through the tears -- Andy, thank you for deciding to share this with us - as a newby, and coming to the boards just before the Page family left on their cruise, it has been a joy to follow them through their trip and their return. You deserve an additional tag - Guardian Angel!! (Hello TF --where are you??)

I also feel your comments at the end are quite on point, both over the last few days and a few weeks ago. We need to keep in the forefront of our minds (and screens) what truly is important in life, and the Golden Rule.

Chris, having dealt with many families with children suffering from a similar illness, and the emotional turmoil and dysfunction that comes with it, you sound like such a down-to-earth mom. I have always felt that God does not give moms such special gifts unless they have the ability to handle those gifts, and everything they entail. Nate is a lucky young man, indeed!

As I sit with tears rolling down my face I want to say "thanks" to both Andyand Chris for sharing. I know it had to be difficult for her to allow Andy to share this since she was uncertain of the response that she would get.

To Chris & the rest of the Page family....May you be blessed with many more days with that PERFECT adorable child, Nathan.
Remember that every child from God is a gift and every gift from God is PERFECT!
