A Ten Day Ride on A Magic Camel - Almost Finished Trip Report

Checking in very quickly to say that I just booked a Pop Century "Brooklynn and MeMom" trip for March during Spring Break!

I wouldn't want to go for any longer, as young as she is, but she loves Pop and Disney World (and hopefully me), so I think she'll do fine.

I will keep my fingers crossed

And I know she will have a WONDERFUL time with you!!!

I also wanted to come say goodbye

Thanks so much again for our video. That was SO sweet :goodvibes

I hope you guys have a wonderful week and I will tell Mickey :mickeyjum you said hello!

Not to far from the :drive: road for me :yay: :jumping1: :yay::jumping1: :yay:

Oh, I hope you are able to find good flight prices!

A MeMom and Brooklynn trip sounds great! You are such a great MeMom! I'm still waiting for the adoption process to begin so that I can be a member of your family! :lmao:

Congrats on the trip. That sounds like it will be loads of fun.

The food looked great at the birthday party. YUM! I have a birthday coing up, could you fly up and put on one of those parties? I'm sure there must be lots of flights from Tennesee to New Brunswick. :rotfl2:

My Labor Day didn't look like that. Everything looks fantastic. I love how everything is co-ordinated. Love the sign, cutlery, mickey shakers and napkins. You served up a good feast. Brooklynn is sooo adorable. :cutie: I watched "Michelsulley" yesterday, finally. What a cute movie, I can see why she loves him so much he is so huggable & fluffy. Boo made me think of Brooklynn and how she wouldn't be afraid of Sulley either. Glad you had a great day together. It was back to school this morning for my kids and my DS started high school. How fast they grow up. I have the day off because I worked all weekend. :laundy: calling.
Just read your plans to go in March, what a special thing to do. My fingers will be crossed too !

Hope it all works out for you and Brooklynn to go in March. That should be so much fun and such a special time for you both. We'll keep our fingers crossed for you guys. :)

Cathy

I am finally allll caught up :cool1: Great updates! Good luck with flights for your trip in March - hopefully flying out on a Wenesday won't be too expensive (we've had luck with Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the past!) :thumbsup2

I will keep my fingers crossed for a decently-priced March flight for you and Brooklynn. That is so sweet of you! :goodvibes

The party looked like a lot of fun, and the video of Brooklynn was too cute. :cutie: I love how toddlers talk.

I really hope that you get to go to Disney in March. I might actually be there that month for a conference.. oh wait.. that is April. nevermind. i love your last update. I hope things are going well at school.

Oh, I am so excited that you booked for your spring break getaway with Brooklyn! :goodvibes

Pixie dust for good flight prices!!! pixiedust: pixiedust:

Fingers crossed and Yummm carrot cake:cool1:

First day with students today. i AM WIPED OUT:lmao:

I love the Belle pictures!
And not to brag, but it is very nice to stay at an Epcot resort.

I'm sure it is. I probably will never know personally, but I can imagine how nice it would be to walk right out the back gate, not have to wait for a bus, and just be steps away from your home!

The pictures of Brooklynn and Belle are so sweet! I like the sandcastle picture too! We stayed at the Yacht Club on our honeymoon...it was great to be able to walk to Epcot! Sadly, that is probably the only time we will be able to stay there, but being at WDW is great no matter where you stay! ;)

I'm happy just being at a value, as long as I can be there. It would be nice to have the money to stay at nice places, though, and staying somewhere nice for a special occasion would definitely make a trip special.

Yes, please!
Mmmm...Beaches and Cream...
Adorable pics of Brooklyn! I love how she asked Belle where the Beast was!

Yeah, that's the first thing she did - asked about Beast. You can't pull anything over on that girl! If you belong with someone, you better at least know where they are!

great update and pics.
I am waiting to call the doctor tomorrow and will see if he says I can fly with my ears hurting, if he says yes, I cna handle the dizziness down there.
it looks so sweet the 2 of them together.
Beaches and Cream, yummy. I had the No Way Jose and it was fantastic.

I did, too. Pictures are coming soon.

you guys got a pretty belle, too!

i can't wait to see beaches and cream. we're going to have lunch there on our epcot day in december.

You can't see Beaches and Cream, because you're in the car on your way to Disney World right now!

YUM!!! That carrot cake looks so good! Can you send a piece here, Jill? Please?!?
You guys have the best parties!

It's from Kroger, and it was good. We try on the parties. They're not really parties, in the true sense of the word, but we have fun with our get together meals.

That's some tasty looking grub.

It wasn't bad. The burgers were good thick Angus burgers, and the chicken was falling off the bone it was so tender.

Aww, how sweet.

She's a sweetie most of the time, unless she's tired. She loves her Bubby, and her Bubby loves her! Now that she has a personality and can talk, even Drew will pay a little attention to her, but he's not much on little kids.

love the salt and pepper shakers!!:cool1:

I got those at the Disney Store on clearance.

What a fun and yummy Labor Day/Trent's b-day celebration!!!
Brooklyn is too cute singing Hakuna Matata!!! :goodvibes

I wish she had done more, but she knew she was being watched.

How sweet!!! :cutie:

Thanks. She's part ham and then part shy in that little clip.

that's the cutest thing i've ever seen!!!!!!!!! thank you, brooklynn!!!!! we will tell mikesulley hello from his favorite little blonde friend!

The fun has begun. You guys are on the road right now!

Looks like Trent had a fun party! I love the video of Brooklynn! That is so cute!

I'm glad you liked the video. Hopefully, Jill will have a lot of video from the October trip to share with us.

I love how you write how Brooklyn would say it! The video was too cute.:cutie: Did you get the salt and pepper shakers down at the world?

No, I got them on clearance at The Disney Store.

Thank you Brooklynn!!!!! :goodvibes

Thanks for thinking of us! I know we will have a wonderful time and we will tell everyone you said hello!! princess:

Happy Birthday Bubby

Brooklynn and Trent say thanks.

looks like a fun time.
cute video.

Now you know what Brooklynn sounds like in real life.

So you guys are definitly throwing my next birthday party. Everything looks so good. :upsidedow

That would be fun. We could go into the party-throwing business!

how exciting!!! i think that's a great idea - taking brooklynn one last time while she's still the only grandbaby. i'm sure she's super excited to be a big sister but it's nice to be able to treat her to something special like that before a new one comes along!
'

That's what I thought - one more special time just focused on her before she has to make her adjustments. I have the time off, too, and Jill said I would spontaneously combust if I had to go from November to the end of July between trips. It is still very dependent on flight prices, though. I have to be sure I have enough money for our summer trip. If we can't go, I'll still do something special with Brooklynn during spring break, but I'll just do it closer to home.

Thats a great idea MeMom!! I hope it works out for you! Brooklynn will really love that time. :cutie:

I hope it does, too.

I also wanted to come say goodbye

Quit all that jumping around and keep your eyes on the road, missy!

Oh, I hope you are able to find good flight prices!

I've already adopted Glenda and Nicole, so I guess you can join in, too. Jill never had a sister, so now she can have a bunch of them!

Congrats on the trip. That sounds like it will be loads of fun.

What would you like your theme to be, and I'll start working on it. :)
Flights from here to there must be a bundle. I bet you guys have to rob a bank to be able to fly from there to Orlando!

How did high school go?

I got all the Mickey picnic stuff for so cheap at the clearance sale. I rarely buy anything anywhere unless it's on sale.

Hope it all works out for you and Brooklynn to go in March. That should be so much fun and such a special time for you both. We'll keep our fingers crossed for you guys. :)

Cathy

You were the first and last post on the page, so I started and ended with you. I hope it works out, too, but we'll just have to sit and wait on Southwest. They seem to be stalled at March 6th. Someone said to count on huge price increases when the next batch opens up, because those were already locked in before gas prices went sky high. I'm afraid of what they'll look like, but for now, I'll just enjoy the thought of possibly being able to go.

I would like a Donald Duck theme please. :rotfl2:

Actually we usually fly from Bangor, Maine (about a 3 hour drive) and we have always found flights for around $200. But to fly from home, it would cost a miminum of $800 per person.

I am finally allll caught up :cool1: Great updates! Good luck with flights for your trip in March - hopefully flying out on a Wenesday won't be too expensive (we've had luck with Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the past!) :thumbsup2

Hopefully, we'll be going down on a 6 a.m. flight Wednesday and coming back on a Saturday evening. We'll see.

The party looked like a lot of fun, and the video of Brooklynn was too cute. :cutie: I love how toddlers talk.

She's smart, but it's still all in baby-talk. It's fun to listen to her form sentences. She gets 2-3 words out at a time as she processes what she wants to say.

I really hope that you get to go to Disney in March. I might actually be there that month for a conference.. oh wait.. that is April. nevermind. i love your last update. I hope things are going well at school.

I keep telling our Reading Specialist to find us a conference in Orlando.
As for school, this is a much better class overall. They promised my team teacher and I we would not get all the problem children this year, and they came through on that. We are very grateful. Our reward for the last many years for being supposedly good, tough teachers with high expectations is that we've been given the kids with serious behavior problems to shape them up. We were truthfully getting worn down fast by that, and I think they saw that we needed a break. I've got three - one severe and two milder - but nothing like the 7-8-9 we've been having.

Oh, I am so excited that you booked for your spring break getaway with Brooklyn! :goodvibes

Pixie dust for good flight prices!!! pixiedust: pixiedust:

And now that I've booked spring, it's time for you to book October!

Fingers crossed and Yummm carrot cake:cool1:

First day with students today. i AM WIPED OUT:lmao:

I know the feeling well! Takes a few days to get back into the swing of things. A couple of weeks, actually.

It is the most tiring day of the entire school year in my opinion!!!

Some people don't realize how draining it can be being with kids all day, even if you're not running a marathon or digging ditches or anything like that. It would be good if every parent could spend an entire day in the classroom. I think they would be enlightened about how much we have to get accomplished and how difficult that can be if the kids don't cooperate in those efforts.

I would like a Donald Duck theme please. :rotfl2:

Actually we usually fly from Bangor, Maine (about a 3 hour drive) and we have always found flights for around $200. But to fly from home, it would cost a miminum of $800 per person.

Brooklynn will help me. She loves "Dondle"!

Wow, that's a lot better than I would have imagined. It costs nearly that to fly from here, and we're a lot closer. Right now what I'm seeing up to the 6th is anywhere from $102 to $184. $184 is probably going to knock us out of the running, but if we can get $102 to $144, then we may be able to swing it. We've been lucky enough to get $79 before, but I'm doubting that's ever going to happen again.

Now, I've gotta get working on that party. Let's see, Mexico Donald? Safari Donald? Maybe some Philharmagic Donald....

Beautiful world showcase pictures!

How cute that Brooklyn asked where the Beast was.

Your BBQ looks great and Brooklynn is so cute in the video. :goodvibes

Great World Showcase pictures and I love the Labor Day BBQ!

Maybe I can make Spring Break, and come help you out with the youngin' (like you'll need it) you're going to have a great time!

MeMom,
What are your dates for march? We are looking at the 6-12 or 13 depending on flights...

Here's hoping for a March trip. From reading all of your posts, I knew you wouldn't be able to last until July:rotfl: What a nice grandma you are to Brooklyn. My mom and dad love their grandkids like crazy and do lots of things with them when we are together, but they have no desire to go to Disney with my kids. Dangit!
