Congrats on the new ticker. You're heading to CBR for your 60th???

YES we're staying at CBR after hearing so many good things from so many friends about this resort Hopefully someone will jump in here and give a recommendation for a building request I really know nothing about the resort


I had to remove that ticker though ( just so much room) for the exciting one next month I THOUGHT I had not seen Aunt Mary for 3 years, which is ridiculously long but hey life happened Then in a conversation I discovered it is going on 5...yes five years ludicrous Enough nonsense between her dealing with Hurricane Sandy, surgeries and health problems, my accident a year ago and resulting problems the time is NOW

Fred will be home 2 days before I leave so that we know no dog will bite him or Maxine will give him a kick and then I am off to surprise her My cousin and I are so excited and ready to burst keeping the secret I am going to call her the day before, tell her I am having something delivered the next day, and that she has to answer the phone and go to the door when I know its there

I will listen to her chastise me like a little kid that " You shouldn't be spending money on me" I will then tell her " Mary shut up its too late now just enjoy it" ( I call her Mary when we are in " girlfriend mode" ) and then the BIG reunion surprise on her doorstep I will have a box of Kleenex in one hand and my camera in the other....she will probably kill me for that I am SO excited !...and very grateful that neither of us have heart problems We will have 4 full days together

Ruthie! I am so excited for you to finally get your visit with Aunt Mary! I can't wait to read all about it.

You asked for building suggestions for CBR. All of Trinidad North and I think buildings 24,25 and 26 of Martinique are preferred. Trinidad South are the Pirate rooms. Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51 are the best two buildings that are not preferred rooms. If you look at a map, you'll see that those two buildings are very close to the bridge to Caribbean Cay. The walk across the bridge is pretty quick to get you to Centertown where the food court is. I requested those two buildings when Mom and I went in 2012 but unfortunately our week overlapped with Pop Warner and we ended up in Jamaica 42. It still wasn't a bad walk, no more than 10 minutes from our room to the food court.

I did a lot of research for my trip in 2012 so let me know if you have any other questions about CBR.

I really appreciate any help I found some CBR info on the resort thread, they had a picture of the Pirate room, right down to a POC shower curtain Don't really think either one of us would like that, that pirate ship bed seemed pretty creepy to me I can just imagine trying to fall asleep with " Dead men tell no tales" or something like that repeating in my head Ah no think I'll pass on that one.....not even if Johnny Depp came into the room ..... well maybe ???

So once again...why are you people even putting up with me ?..but I thank you I am behind yet again Never finished Nov anniversary trip, Christmas, January at CSR or any trip and purchases from Theme Park Connection and its all due to where is that damn camera cord to get the pictures into the computer ? I just know the day I buy a new one I will locate it I am going to give myself one more week to locate it and then I will have to buy one I hate that Can't do a report without pictures otherwise it didn't happen right ?

Well, as to why I "put up with you" - I've not no place to start throwing those stones...as you mentioned on my PTR.

Aruba was our "home port" in CBR for about 3 years. We got a corner room, facing the parking lot, but for us that worked just fine...closer to the bus stop!

We've never been in Jamaica (Cale doesn't like the color of the buildings. That's an artist for you.) But I know it's just a quick hike across the bridge to Old Port Royal. And (if I remember correctly) has the best viewing for fireworks (Illuminations, I think)

This is from Cale: He sends warning about the surrey bikes. We used a voucher for one once and there's a little hill at one end of the loop and it darn near killed us. Like, a 45 degree angle. The map on the bikes have a little red circle around it...dun dun DAHHHHN. We should have realized that was a warning. Of course, he says: "Don't let those old people in the commercial fool you, those surrey bikes'll KILL YOU!"

Ruthie, those cords are so easy to come by! Just buy one! I've had to buy many. Now I just make sure my computer has a slot for the SD card and that I get cameras with SD cards.

I liked the CBR when i was there in January. I think it was Aruba. Building was 55xx. Yes it was a little walk to the hub but then it was also very quiet. So i didnt mind that. Food court was pleasent.

What a day ! It started with getting caught in pajamas when the delivery truck showed up at crack of stupid with Maxine's take out order 12 bales of hay and 2 bags of feed I don't even remember ordering that...then again this would not surprise me at all





Then the day was all over the place taking care of dog hygiene ( ears nails ) in between being on the computer until I swear I am going to develop Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Filled out 3 on-line job applications Nice to see there are starting to be some openings around here again but still so damn frustrating that it is all for PT work I am too freakin old for this nonsense I will have to get another PT job but I can't believe it's so hard to find FT work

Progress On the NY trip front:

I reserved covered parking at MCO so that is another step in the " This is Really Happening " stage of planning
