Has anyone made a book (or viewed someone else's) that used the bright "fab 5" character themed layouts? I am currently working on mine and just wonder if the bright colors and characters aren't going to "overwhelm" my pictures? :confused3

I used that layout for some of my pages. Specifically for the Chef Mickey pictures. I didn't find them overwhelming, though I also didn't pick a theme for the whole book as I have noticed many people do. I just wanted the background to coordinate with whatever it was we were doing in the pictures. So we used princess for the CRT pics and so on. Purely personal preference.

My best advice, and take it for what it's worth, if you are choosing one style of layout for the entire book, you might find it overwhelming on some pages. Just my take and only worth the paper it's printed on. (ie nothing!);)

I did the same thing i used different background for different pages. I didn't find it overwhelming. I love mine. Did I mention I LOVE MINE!!!

I did match the pages if they were to be opened together but that was it. I liked the fab five.

i wouldn't want it for the entire book but I wouldn't want any of them for the entire book....i like to mix it up

Thanks for the input, I'm realizing that mixing it up is probably the best way to go. We did the MK only this trip, so I was thinking Fab 5 for everything, but now I realize the Elegant might look nice with our Crystal Palace pics, the Vintage with our Frontierland, etc etc. Too bad they don't have something better themed for Tomorrowland pics!

On my book, Oct. 2008, the "fab 5" pages left a purple haze on the top and left hand side of the pictures. Cinderella ended up with purple hair. I HIGHLY caution against using this page type. They had to remake my book.

My book looks GREAT!

I used all the different backgrounds (including Fab 5) for each place too. Don't forget there are several layouts for each # of pics for each background. I didn't realize that early on when I was making mine. I think it would look "Goofy" ;) to have same same same throughout book.

I'm so glad we laid out the $ for the book. It's very professionally done and does look nice. Usually my pictures sit in my computer!

I have used that background in two separate books and several pages and haven't had a problem.
