A special Thank You for the DLR backstage tour

I want to say thank you to everyone involved for this event. Seriously, thank you!

Thanks very much to Pete for setting all this up. Thanks for the tour and getting Disney to let us be the first to experience this since tour since the park first opened. It was absolutely great and something I thought I would never be able to do. And also, thank you very much for lunch. That was just as much fun meeting and talking with everyone (and excellent food too).

Thanks to Don and all the DL moderators for organizing the extra meets. I was hoping to spend some extra time with everyone and this was perfect.

And especially thanks to everyone for letting me be a part of your group. I had some wonderful conversations with so many of you. You are all very warm and friendly and I had such a good time.

I’m a relatively new listener to the DIS Unplugged and even newer to the DIS Boards. When I listen to your descriptions of the events and activities I wished I could be a part of all the fun. This time, the schedules worked out. For me, there is always a little hesitation at meeting new folks or going into strange situations. I must admit, I was a little nervous.

You folks were great. In a short time you made me feel like one of the group. Thank you. It means more than you know.

I look forward to future events. I hope to be more active and involved in the Podcast group. How much room is left on the next Podcast cruise?

Anyway, this is sincere as I can possibly be... thank you all very much!

You are exactly the reason I put together the extra meets (that and being a control freak). Having new people come and join the others on the event is what makes this so special. The tour was awesome, but it was just a few hours of the weekend and all of the extra time spent with DIS friends new and old was why I love the DIS. It is my hope that others will read your post and jump in on the boards (former lurker here), or know on the next time there is an opportunity to do something they will jump in and see how it goes.

Although I have only been a part of two DIS events Podcast Cruise 1.0 and this backstage tour, everyone in the community that goes to the events has been so genuine and lots of fun to be with. Now you have been part of the past weekend and know even more people in the DIS community because you signed up and went for it even as a fellow Solo traveler.

Looking forward to the next time our paths cross.
