A Sizzling Hot Summer in WDW TR June/July 2025

Day 10:

We did rope drop at AK again. We really love this park.
We saw Pocahontas


Then we decided let's just do Everest a bunch of times!


We got front row!

Next we check out some monkeys. We always love the animals.


Then we use das for Avatar ride. My son really loves this ride too.




Next we head to Dinoland. My son really love this place. He decided to do his trex pictures in front of dinoland sign.

Next still walk on at Dinosour ride.

My son is soo involved.



We then see a fun song and dance party happening.

Next we das lion king. we got a nice spot. So my son could see everything.






Man it has been a long time since we have seen it and the first time my son has seen it.
He loved the monkeys the best of course.

Another RunDisney person at OKW while I was there! I was there June 27-July 4. My sister is DVC, but also has time share and got a swap through Interval. Amazed you ran outside-I did not. Looks like you enjoyed a lot of good food and drink. We don’t usually, but did do one of the special events at Jaleo (Paella making class and meal) for the Flavors of Florida event.

Next we decide snack time! We get the dole whips with alcohol in it. At Tamu Tamu! We get:
DOLE Whip® Pineapple Cup with Parrot Bay Coconut Rum

DOLE Whip® Pineapple Orange Soda Float with Rum

Man we loove them! Hits the spot.
My son got a regular DOLE whip. He is happy.


Man dole whip cools you down.

Next we have done planet watch soo we head on over.


My son looves this place too. He loves looking in at all the people.


And more cool animals.


We also got to talk to a keeper making food for the animals. My son of course had a ton of questions for her.

I ran first on the treadmill at OKW and the little tiny room was soo hot I decided if I was going to die of heat might as well not be on the treadmill. I don't like treadmill running. Lol.

Outside under the shade they they had some craft part of the kids summer. My son decides to do a craft. He loves these little crafts.




Then we went go over the petting zoo. I love that they have this. My son had fun going and petting them.

It starts to rain. We go back under the shade. My son works on the crafts some more and finishes it and we eat some of our packed lunch and snacks.


The rain let lightened up so we decide to brave it. We put on the ponchos and head out.
Back on the train.


My son decided he is done now. So we go back to the busses and head back to our resort.

A lovely morning in AK.

We chill in our room and it is not raining here so I go on a little run. Again it is soo hot... but it is good training for me... at least that is what I keep saying.



My son decided to build the Lego he got from nasa as his room activity.



It is getting close to dinner time. So we get changed and head out. We are heading to Riverside Resort for dinner. So we take the boat over to Disney Springs and then boat to Riverside Resort. It is such a lovely ride over. It is so much more fun then a bus. I love boat vibes.

So where are we heading here?
The Boatwright's restruant. It is apart of the 40% off deal for APs! Since it was just a boat ride away we thought let's try it out.

I check in and we don't wait to long before they call us in.
Inside of the restaurant has really cool themeing too! They have a huge real boat in inside of the restaurant!


We get our drinks. Yummy.





And we get corn bread for free! This with the butter is soo good!

I have to remind myself don't fill up on the cornbread.

My son got a hamburger which he loved and he loved the fruit option for the sides.


My mom got:Boatwright's Jambalaya
A Louisiana Dinnertime Favorite! Slow-cooked Spicy Rice with Shrimp, Andouille Sausage, and Chicken
She loved it.

I got Grilled Salmon
Grilled Salmon and Shrimp with Sherry Cream Sauce, Mushrooms, Thyme Rice, and Seasonal Vegetables
I got it Blackened and ask for no mushrooms.

This was really good. Especially for a moderate resort restaurant we were both really pleased with the seafood here! Then place really is a hidden little gem.
Next dessert!
My son got vanilla ice of course with sprinkles.


Then mom and me split the Praline-Bourbon Bread Pudding with Pecan Praline Sauce, Bourbon-soaked Raisins, and Vanilla Ice Cream.

Soo good!! I really just love all the different bread pudding u can get in Disney.
And dessert drinks!

Both great!



Such a great meal and drinks! Especially with 40% off. I am soo happy we tried out the restaurant and our waitress was very nice and attentive too.

Next we decide to walk over to French Quater. A great way to make room for more desserts!
We see the horse drawn carriages. Man they really make this place come alive.

The temps are much better now that the sun is not right above us.

We made it to French Quater!


While I wait for the beignets my son and mom wait in the quick service area with a tv. Soo my son was happy.

The line was long but soo worth it.


We got the boozy beignets of course. Sadly my son did not want to wait any longer soo we take them to go.
And they were take the boat back to disney springs to then back OKW. We had to wait for the 2nd boat to get out of French Quater... there is alot more people who use the boat here more than OKW.

We make it back and eat the boozy beignets! I am soo happy they have u squirt in the booze soo the beignets stay yummy.


What a great evening!

Day 11:
We are officially in July! Wow what a ride soo far..
Today we are going to park hop start in HS and then end in Epcot.
Basically hit up my sons fav rides.

We decide to to try rise first today. We were really in front in rope drop... soo decided to switch it up. We fast walk and quickly walk through the que. This is a great strategy when u are in the front of rope drop lines. Alot of the times we are in the back of rope drop soo we decide just not to fight the crowds to not stress out my son.







Man my son loove this ride!

Next still basically walk on Millennium falcon so we go over there.


Again my son it always the gunner.
After doing this ride soo much back to back... I am happy they are going to add more scenes like in star tours to spice it up a bit.

We headed out and we saw Rey! Rey started talking to my son. My son was explaining is cool new star wars shirt to her.





Man we keep getting so luckliy with the characters! They really do have them out more than when we come during Thanksgiving. My son is on cloud nine now after being able to talk so long with Rey.
Star tours is still super short so we hopped on it.


And already we got a 3 star wars rides done and Rey! What a great start wars morning!

We das mickey runaway railway road.


Man they were really stuffing is in this time... I had to do a little protective bubble for my son. Normally they don't stuff the pre-show in this as much...my son not liking it but my mom and me know what to do to block.



We make it in and my son is happy again.
