A Sister & Brother Return! The Trip Report! Updated 10/31--Page 23!

I'm glad you had a great birthday. Good news about your friend. :thumbsup2
The pool looks so enticing. I would love a nightime dip before bed. I'll be sure to be careful, if I ask for a refill at WCC. ;)

I love to participate in the antics at WCC! Thanks for the birthday/well wishes :)

I'm glad you had a fun birthday trip! Can't wait to hear about it!

I can't believe how big that refill is!

What a fun DIS meet!

We had a lot of fun at the DIS Meet, you must be excited at how close your trip is!!

Belated Happy Birthday, Nicole! I cannot believe its almost your last day at WDW! :( You sure did good keeping up with this TR. Mine's still on the second day!

David looks a lot like your Dad (esp. in the pool photos). I bet plenty of folks say that. Just an observation. ;)

Thanks for the birthday wishes, yeah Im on the last day, thats why im prolonging it a bit to make it last :)

I am so glad to hear about your friend and that you had a great birthday trip!

I loved drooling over the photos of the AKL pool and the Wilderness Lodge! Just out of curiosity, why do you like WL over AKL?

I think I have an attachment over at WL because it was my first deluxe hotel and I had the most wonderful experience there. IMO you can't go wrong at either one, but just the smell, the proximity to the MK, everytime I see it, I call it "home" Michael and I (michael stayed with me there last year) kept saying how we should go over there and kick someone out -- we really just loved it!

It's good to hear that your friend is doing better. I hope she will be back to normal soon. I know that was/is very scary and stressful for her and her family and friends.

I'm glad you got to see Brooklynn, even though Jill said she was too busy playing in the water to come and talk to you.

Yeah I got to see her, what a cutie!! I didn't talk to her when we met at the pool, but when I ran into Jill the first day at POP, brooklyn told me how she was going to Epcot to see Nemo!

Yay, I'm glad your friend is better! What a relief :goodvibes Happy Birthday to ya! :flower3:

Thanks for the bday wishes!!

Stopping in to say What's up? Sad because there's no update. Hope all is well.;)

I'm hoping to do an update after work tonight!!

Great trip report! I recently read your trip report that you took with your two friends so I'm happy to read you are having such a good time on this one as compared to the other one lol.

Oh, tell me about the smell of the Wilderness Lodge!!! :yay:

Great update! We are going to be eating at the WCC for the first time when we go in December...I can't wait! That picture of David with his refill is hilarious. :lmao:

I like your Mickey beanie...I have a Donald and Pluto like that.

Whew! Finally caught up!

Great TR so far! :thumbsup2 MORE!

I'm going to add you on facebook, since I see the link in your siggy.

We had a really nice last day with a very nice evening, but first lets start at the beginning. We originally had a Tusker House breakfast ADR but in light of a late MK EMH, we decided to keep the morning casual, and canceled the ADR. We still made it over to AK, and had a great time returning for the last time on Dinosaur, Everest and ITTAB! I had left my camera, so no pictures from the morning, but after our usual break we headed out to say goodbye to our favorite: Epcot!

Our plan for the week (because we knew we would be canceling tusker house) was to try and get back in to Le Cellier. Each and every time we were in Epcot we walked up and tried for an ADR but were unsucessful. Each time, they encouraged us to check same day and even try walk in which I was surprised at. This is what we decided to do since an ADR was impossible: Standby. So we decided to play around Epcot until we felt it was time to go to Le Cellier. Now don't worry, we had a back up plan: A 7:40pm Kona ADR.

A ride we both really enjoy:

I love the beauty of future world!

One thing we really wanted to was catch the woman who makes candy at Japan, so we checked the times and headed into WS.

She does such beautiful work! We took notice that each and every person that was there waiting for her before the crowds came in got chosen, so we decided to go get some US Apple Pie next door and wait for her next show, in which we wanted front row seats and get chosen!

Well turns out either it was a coincidence or I was right, but each and every person who was standing outside with us (there were about 4) got chosen -- well except for us, makes you feel kind of invisible, and we were sad, but she was still fun to see!

We were getting kind of hungry and had a decision to make, should we try for Le Cellier or get over to Kona?

We decided on Kona!! I was very excited! I love this place!!

We walked to the monorail and waited for the second one to ride up front!!

We got off at the Ticket and Transportation center and walked over to the Poly, it was such an enjoyable walk and the Poly is beautiful!!

We didn't wait and were seated at the exact same table as last time (weirdly, Michael and I sat there last week too!)

Of course the food was delicious it always is!!

We decided to end our night with something so fantastic and so different, it was just so awesome!

We walked out by the empty beach and found some pool chairs facing the Magic Kingdom. We put our feet in the sand and watched as the electrical water pageant went by....

IMG_5334.jpg

Next to us was a nice man who was staying there and we chatted a bit about the AKL and how the Contemporary looks like an airport where as GF looks like the titanic....and finally, right after he walked away, Wishes started!!!

IMG_5344.jpg

I was surprised to find out that they do not pipe in the music. No worries, iPhone to the rescue!! I just happen to have wishes on my phone!! We put it close to our ears and watched the fireworks with our toes in the sand, a perfect ending night! I plan on uploading the video I shot tomorrow, I hope you guys enjoy it!

We got back to the room and packed everything away :( We had an early Crystal Palace ADR to see the MK before it opens...one problem--someone didn't plan ahead...

That was a very sweet last evening! :thumbsup2
I love the old-school nostalgia of the EWP. How cool to see Wishes from the Poly beach. You are so fortunate to be living in Florida. Yesterday was such a gorgeous day here in Houston, and all the loveliness made me wish I were at the Magic Kingdom walking down a sunny Main Street. ;)

Great update, Nicole!

It's such a bummer that you didn't get picked for the candy lady!

Watching wishes on the beach sounds heavenly! :cloud9:

I'm sad that your TR is almost over. Will you do a TR of your b-day trip?

It's nice that you came prepared with your own Wishes music! :)
I'll be waiting patiently (anxiously) to see the video.

Nicole, it sounds like you had an awesome last day. Isn't the candy lady great. I love watching her work, although we've never been chosen either. The food at Kona looked really good. DH took the girls there on this last trip, but I've never been there. Looks like I need to add that to my list of things to do too. :) Looking forward to seeing the video.

Cathy

OMG, fresh air conditioning air mixed with cinammon and fresh wood, I can't explain, BOOK IT!

Looking forward to an update.

:D

I was thinking the same thing! The weather is getting nice, its perfect park weather!! Florida living is a gifted curse -- i love that i can basicaly go when I want, but I can't and it kils me! I also would love to know what its like one day to use magical express!

Great update, Nicole!

I'm going to do a short summary here in this TR once i finish

Oh, I don't want your TR to end :(.

The Kona dinner looks amazing! We really enjoyed our dinner there this past summer.

I love Kona!! Stick around, i'll do a summary of my bday trip and I might do one for the xmas trip coming up!

It's nice that you came prepared with your own Wishes music! :)

Not too much of a wait!

Kona is so good, you wont be dissapointed!

Okay guys, just a short clip, but without further ado...Wishes from the poly beach!

Very nice video. We saw Fourth of July fireworks from there, and that may be where we watch them again on this next trip. Maybe we can bring our own music, too!

I can't wait to see Wilderness Lodge all dressed up for Christmas! It makes the Lodge even more awesome than it already is.

hi,
been MIa for awhile but just caught up to see it at the ending.

Great report and pics.

I saw AKL last week and understand why you like it, very nice resort.

Our last day was a good one! We checked our luggage with bell services and headed to MK for our early Crystal Palace reservation. I made this one last minute but didn't realize through all my planning that it was a morning EMH! It didn't make for a quiet walk to the restaurant, or short crowds either! But we made the best of it. THe meal was a low point. I was paying OOP and David didn't eat anything, and we didn't wait for the characters because we were anxious to get going. So it was a mistake, but with proper planning it could have been avoided, lesson learned.

I did not take notes this day, but we stayed in the MK until lunch time, and than headed to OKW before finishing our trip in Downtown Disney like we always do. Some of the things I remember was our distaste for OKW, but we weren't there for that long and I would definitely give it another chance, i'm not sure about David :rotfl: He really didnt like it for some reason. And now for some end of the trip pictures!

My attempt at a chip and dale picture, one day I will get a real one!
