Thanks to the many "regulars" here on the DVC and other miscellaneous threads here on the DIS (you know who you are if I know "who" you are!)! I have benefited from your collective knowledge and experiences and have had many a chuckle or moments reading these boards. Now is time for me to ask a question....

Here is my question: What is the proper "procedure" for "adding" 2 additional people into an existing ressie? We have a 2-bd reservation, so I don't think that will be an occupancy problem --
We're not doing DDP - and please don't worry about the ADR issues with this question.

Background: We are a 4 peep family. 2 Additional peeps are considering "joining" us for our upcoming trip, but at the time of the reservation, I did NOT add their names to our original ressie b/c they were so "wishy washy" about whether they would actually come or not.

Regardless of whether they do come or not (and I have no problem with either/or - I am goin' with the flow and just lovin' the anticipation of "going home" ) what is the right way to handle this additional occupancy - if it indeed happens (LOL!)

Assuming you are the owner and made the reservation you can simply call MS and add the 2 new folks to the reservation. Since you have reserved a 2BR there aren't any occupancy limits to worry about with only 6 in the unit. We have had to make changes several times in the past and its never been an issue. If it isn't an urgent thing you can also use the online form on the members website to request the changes.

If you are renting the points from an owner then they will need to call MS and make the change request for you.

Even easier, since you aren't doing the DDP, is to add them on when you check in. That is unless they are arriving before you.

I agree with Kat4disney - if you're not doing the DDP, you can simply add them when you check in, if they decide to show up after all. We've done it that way once, and it took all of maybe 2 minutes to get the person added. You won't have any trouble.
