A Simple Guide to Making an Autograph Book

Your albums are great. Did Marion also make the last album cover? The one with the grid pattern of characters? I love it and would like to ask her to make one for me as well. Where did you locate it? I couldn't find it on her photobucket site.

If I'm not mistaken, that grid pattern is actually scrapbook paper. If not, I sure have something in my stash that looks like it, lol!

First, my apologies for being MIA for a month. I was making the final push to get my doctoral dissertation deposited, and that is finally complete. I will get caught up from the last month's worth of requests ASAP!

Love the covers I have seen on your site. Can I please get 2 covers for our trip next year. 1st one I need is for Andrew & the 2nd one is for Logan. I will be doing 5x7 books for them. Can you also put the year on it 2013. Thanks again for taking the time to help!!

Thank you MusicMouse for the covers!! They are perfect! I have a question for you crafters out there as I'm not a big scrapbooking/crafty person. I have bought ProArt wirebound sketch book 5 1/2" x 8" for the kids autograph book. I plan on putting the covers on the front and wanted to know the best way to do this. Should I print them on photo paper and glue them and is it possible to use Mod Podge over it to seal it (without smearing the ink)? I would really like to take these books with us with the covers on them as it will be a surprise for the kids. What is the best way to do this and to make them kid proof? Any suggestions appreciated!!

I have never tried to use modge podge on my covers. I seal mine with clear contact paper. It's the same as cold laminating, keeps them water and stain resistant, and you don't have to worry about smearing the ink.

I have really enjoyed looking at the pictures and I'm wondering if you ave done anything for a Christmas autograph book?

I made created a book through Sam's Club online. Everything looks great and I'm ready to order. There is only one problem some of the pictures say the resolution for the photo is too small for the layout (almost every page has one or two) choose another photo with higer resolution. I want to order the book but don't want to waste the $$ if the photos won't look right. Does anyone have experience with printing a smaller resolution? Will they be blurry?

The resolution that is required by the photobooks is for photographs. Because our images are simpler, they require less resolution. The DISigners are usually pretty careful about making their images at the resolution level that will print well (ie. mine are all at 300 dpi).

After all the help I got from folks on this thread, I wanted to share pictures of 3 of my autograph albums. I don't have pictures of the 4th yet. I found a local mom-and-pop shop to bind them for me. I'm sorry my picture is so bad. The place recommended that I not laminate the covers so they put a hard plastic over them and that seems to work fine protecting them. My friends' sons had fun last week with these three albums and I'm hoping my daughter will have fun this weekend with hers. The covers were made by Marion/RustManFan.
